Big Kahuna Snakes and Ladders Review

The Big Kahuna Snakes and Ladders slots game can be found at Microgaming casinos. Microgaming as a standard do not publish the slots house edge information of their games. However they lease their slots games out to casinos using other software, some of which do publish this information. So far we’ve only found two casinos – Redbet and Virgin – that have published this information for Big Kahuna Snakes and Ladders and they list the house edge as 4.47% and 4.97% respectively. When playing at any other venue, this information should be used as a guideline only as the game may be configurable.

Big Kahuna Snakes and Ladders finds you back on the island tropical paradise, this time at the invite of Big Kahuna himself. It turns out that his mask has been stolen and hidden on the top of a mountain and he wants you to go and find it and any treasure you find along the way is yours to keep! Beware of the snakes though.

This game is a 5 reel game, with 15 paylines and you can bet up to 20 coins on each payline.

The ‘Big Kahuna’ symbol is wild and doubles wins.

There are two different bonus features when playing Big Kahuna Snakes and Ladders. The first is activated randomly and awards 5 complimentary spins. During the complimentary spins all wins are doubled.

The second bonus feature is activated when three or more ‘Snakeladder’ bonus symbol turn up anywhere on the reels. When this happens you’ll be taken to a new screen with Snakes and Ladders board and a mask at the very end of the board. This game works in a very similar way to snakes and ladders; there are five dice at the side of the board, you pick one to roll and advance that number of squares. You repeat this process until all five dice have been used. If you roll a 6 on any dice, you get a second roll. Once all five dice have been used, the number of the square you land on is used as a multiplier for your initial bet in the main game.

Closing Thoughts

Big Kahuna Snakes and Ladders is a massive improvement over the first instalment of this game and providing house edge information is a fantastic step forward – even if it is a little higher than average. The Snakes and Ladders bonus feature is great fun and so is the game overall. Well worth a spin.
