Big Kahuna Slot Review

The Big Kahuna slots game can be found at Microgaming casinos. Microgaming as a standard do not publish the slots house edge information of their games. However they lease their slots games out to casinos using other software, some of which do publish this information. So far we’ve only found one casino – Virgin – that has published this information for Big Kahuna and they list the house edge as 3.84%. When playing at any other venue, this information should be used as a guideline only as the game may be configurable.

Big Kahuna is themed on a tropical island, where head dresses made of fruit are common place and sacrificial offerings to the gods thrown into volcanos are an everyday occurrence.

This game is a 5 reel game, with 9 paylines and you can bet up to 5 coins on each payline.

There are two different bonus features to this game. The first is activated when three or more of the ‘Volcano’ bonus symbol turn up in a row on a payline starting from the left side of the screen. When this happens you’ll be taken to a new screen where you have to choose a fruit mask to throw into the volcano as a sacrifice. Different masks will offer different payouts.

The second bonus feature is activated when three or more ‘Mask’ bonus symbol turn up in a row on a payline starting from the left side of the screen. When this happens you’ll be taken to a new screen with lots of bouncing masks. You get to pick mask – each of which reveal a payout – until you choose one that says ‘Collect’ then the bonus feature ends.

Conclusion

An average house edge and fairly run of the mill bonus features make this game nothing worth writing home about..
