The Black Hawk: Deluxe game can be found at casinos offering Wazdan software. Unlike many of the smaller casino software providers Wazdan offer a selection of casino table games featuring some of the major table games, with a strong focus on slots games. Wazdan do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their games. As such we can say that the House Edge for Black Hawk: Deluxe is 3.53%.
Black Hawk: Deluxe is a 4 reel game that is 3 symbols high. The game works in combinations of reels, with 3 from the right forming half the paylines and 3 from the left forming half the paylines. The game uses 54 paylines in total.
Special Symbols
Wild – The Wild symbol substitutes for all other symbols but cannot form independent paylines.
Hawk – The “Hawk” symbol is the game’s most valuable, with 3 as part of a winning payline earning you 5 times the bet.
Castle – The “Castle” symbol is the next most valuable symbol, with 3 as part of a winning payline earning you 2 times the bet.
Chest – The “Chest” is the next most valuable symbol, with 3 as part of a winning payline earning you 1.2 times the bet.
All other symbols will fail to win you back the value of your bet is you form paylines, including 3 symbols.
Gamble – Once you have landed a winning payline you can choose to gamble your winnings in an attempt to double them. When this happens you will be taken into a dungeon with a metal door, behind which stand 3 skeleton warriors. You have to choose which leaver to pull and if you guess correctly a trap door will open that they fall into when the door is rasied and you double your bet. Get it wrong and you lose the lot.
Conclusion
Black Hawk: Deluxe, like the original is a game that you might expect to be better than it actually is. The aesthetics are a marked improvement on the original but there is still along way to go before this can compete with some of the industry’s big guns. Unfortunately, everything else is the game leaving you more than just a little bit disappointed. You get wilds, but they cannot form independent paylines, meaning that 3 of them in a payline actually pays less than 2! If you don’t count the gamble option, which I don’t, then that really is all you have here. The house edge is better, offering you slightly better value for money than the original, which will add to an improved score but still not a game we would recommend.
