The Bob’s Coffee Shop slots game can be found at casinos using BGaming software. BGaming is one of the newer software developers in the online gaming market. Unlike many of the smaller casino software providers BGaming offer a relatively complete suite of casino games featuring most of the major table games (other than Craps which isn't particularly popular online) and even a Video Poker game. The company is operated by the same team responsible for the SoftSwiss casino platform and Direx N.V. license. BGaming sometimes publish the slots house edge information of their games as standard. Whilst that information was not available on their website we do know that the house edge for Book of Bob’s Coffee Shop is 3.5%.
Bob’s Coffee Shop is a 5 reel slots game that is 3 symbols high. The game uses standard paylines, with 20 in total, playing from left to right.
Scatters/Free Spins – The “Bob’s Coffee Shop” symbol is the game’s Free Spins symbol, with 3 or more of them anywhere on the reels in a single spin earning you 10 Free Spins.
Bob – The game’s most valuable symbol is the “Bob” symbol, which will pay out in combinations of 3 or more as part of a winning payline. If you can reveal 5 as part of a winning payline you will earn 5000 coins.
Free Spins – Before the Free Spins feature begins a symbol will be chosen at random to become the special symbol. Any reel that contains a special symbol will have all the symbols in it replaced by that special symbol.
Gamble – Any time you win you have the chance to try to double up your earnings. When you do this you have to guess the colour of card that is sitting face down. Guess correctly and you will double your earnings, guess incorrectly and you will lose everything. You can gamble as many times as you want to, but as soon as you lose you have to return to the main game.
Bob’s Coffee Shop is a twist on a theme I suspect you’ll not have seen before. Bob is the owner of a coffee shop in what looks like a street in Amsterdam. The reels consist of a giant plume of smoke and the symbols are bongs, a lion with dreadlocks and some lips holding what one can only assume is one of Bob’s products. So, in short, Bob’s Coffee Shop is about a bloke called Bob who owns his own cannabis shop in Amsterdam. Whilst the theme might be unlike anything you are likely to have seen before, the rest of the game will not be. In terms of features, all you have are some free spins. There aren’t even any wilds in this game. I would appear that the designers of this game felt that their theme alone could carry it. As for the house edge, at 3.5%, Bob’s Coffee Shop is offering some good value for money. Personally, I feel that the game’s attempts to be a little outrageous have meant that they’ve neglected some of the more important elements of a slots game. However, if you want to check it out and see what all the fuss is about it won’t cost you too much to do so.
