The Bucksy Malone slots game can be found at casinos offering Genii software. Genii is one of the newer software developers in the online gaming market. Alongside many of the smaller casino software providers Genii focus heavily on slots games. The House Edge/RTP of the Genii slots games is sometimes listed within the paytable for the newer games in their catalogue. For the older games, as Genii is partnered with UK licensed operators and the UKGC license requires the publication of this information, RTP figures can be found on numerous casino sites. As such we know that the house edge for Bucksy Malone is 7%.
Bucksy Malone is a 5 reel game that is 3 symbols high. The game plays over 25 paylines, playing from left to right.
Wild – The Wild symbol is the “Boss” symbol. The “Boss” symbol will substitute for all symbols other than the Free Spins and Scatter symbols. The “Boss” is also the most valuable symbol in the game, with 5 of them as part of a winning payline earning you 6000 coins.
Free Spins– The “Crazy Assassin” symbol (a gangster with a tommy gun) is the Free Spins symbol. 3 or more will trigger the game’s Free Spins feature.
Bonus/Scatter – The “Bucksy Malone” is the Bonus/Scatter symbol. Three or more of them will trigger the game’s Bonus feature. The bonus feature is a tile flipping game (in this instance whiskey barrels) where cash prizes can be won. Prize values in the Bonus game are proportional to the original bet and no multiplier is applied.
Random Wild – The “Crazy Assassin” can, at random, shoot any symbol and turn it Wild. This feature is not available during the Free Spins.
Free Spins – Landing 3 of the “Crazy Assassin” symbols will award you with 10 Free Spins and a x2 multiplier. 4 of the “Crazy Assassin” symbols will award you with 10 Free Spins and a x4 multiplier. 5 of the “Crazy Assassin” symbols will award you with 10 Free Spins and a x5 multiplier. Free Spins cannot be re-triggered during the feature.
Bucksy Malone allows you to enter the murky world of organised crime during America’s spell of prohibition in the 1920s. Bucksy Malone a big-time crook working for the boss, with his crazy assassin sidekick to help run whiskey barrels through town. The game has an amazing theme and has attempted to wrap a decent narrative around it through the development of some interesting character symbols. However, the game can’t live up to that ambition because it clearly doesn’t have the software resources to do so, instead looking very outdated in the modern slots market. This is a relatively feature friendly game, one of the most interesting that I’ve seen from Genii. You have wilds, free spins, a bonus round and a random wild feature thrown in for good measure. The house edge is too high for me to recommend this game, but I still believe that this is one of Genii’s best offerings to date.
