The Cops and Robbers slots game can be found at Microgaming casinos. Microgaming as a standard do not publish the slots house edge information of their games. However they lease their slots games out to casinos using other software, some of which do publish this information. So far we’ve only found one casino – Bet Victor – that has published this information for Cops and Robbers and they list the house edge as 3%. When playing at any other venue, this information should be used as a guideline only as the game may be configurable.
Cops and Robbers is not a standard slots machine and is known as an ‘Amusements with Payouts’ game. This means that the chances of winning are not equal on every spin and are instead determined by not only the amount that you have lost, but the amount that has been lost by all player since the last time you played. This does leave opertunity for smart players to determine signals that the game will payout in the near future, however this takes a great degree of skill and is made far more difficult by the online nature of this game (compared to their offline counterparts).
You better hope your getaway driver’s up to the job…..
This game is a 3 reel game with one payline and you can bet one coin on the payline.
There is no wild symbol when playing Cops and Robbers.
There are three bonus features when playing Cops and Robbers. The first is activated randomly and awards a random number of Nudges. For those of you not familiar with pub slot machines, a Nudge allows you to move a reel of your choosing round one position to help align winning symbols. When you are awarded Nudges you can also be awarded Nudge Gambles – which allow you to gamble one of your Nudges in an attempt to win more – or Nudge Holds – which allow you to hold your Nudges over for one spin.
The second bonus feature is also awarded randomly and awards the player a chance to Hold certain any reels of the players choosing in position while the unheld reels are respun.
The third bonus feature is activated when you receive 3 symbols anywhere in view on the reels with the little ‘Loot Bag’ symbol in the lower left corner. When this happens you will be taken to a new screen showing a game board, a cop and a robber. You – the robber – spin the reel and move a number of spaces. Each square you land on awards a prize and every move after the first before you spin the reel you’ll be given the option to collect the prizes you’ve gathered so far. Then the cop spins the reel and moves. If the cop catches up with you at any point, the bonus feature ends and you lose all the swag you collected.
With one of the lowest house edges available in any slots game and bonus features that are not only entertaining, but allow the player a degree of control over the outcome, Cops and Robbers is a real winner.
