Devil’s Number Slot Review

Released April 2019

The Devil’s Number game can be found at casinos offering Red Tiger software. Red Tiger is a relatively new software developer in the online gaming market, having only been in operation since 2014. Red Tiger focus primarily on slots games but do offer a few table games, albeit a very limited range of them. In compliance with UK gaming legislation, Red Tiger publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their pay tables. As such, we can say that the House Edge for Devil’s Number is 4%.

Devil’s Number is a 5 reel game that is 4 symbols high. The game uses 30 paylines, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

High Paying Symbol – The highest paying symbol is the “Skull Potions”. The “Skull Potions” will pay out 90 (180 if the “Upgrade” feature is triggered) times the bet if you can land 3 as part of a winning payline, 180 (360 if the “Upgrade” feature is triggered) times the bet if you can land 4 as part of a winning payline and 360 (666 if the “Upgrade” feature is triggered) times the bet if you can land 5 as part of a winning payline.

Free Spins – 3 or more “9” symbols anywhere on the reels at once will trigger the game’s Free Spins feature.

Features

Upgrade – “Upgrade” is a randomly triggered feature that upgrades the wins that you form using any of the High paying symbols if you can form winning paylines using them.

Remove – “Remove” is a randomly triggered feature that only applies to the low paying symbols. If you for a win with a low paying symbol, there is a chance that the symbols used will disappear, the remaining symbols will drop down and new symbols will be added to the reels, giving you another chance to win.

Free Spins – If you trigger the Free Spins feature you will be given 12 Free Spins. During the Free Spins, once you have formed a win using the high paying symbols, all subsequent wins formed with high paying symbols will pay out at the upgrade level. If wins are formed with low paying symbols, they will cascade in the same manner that they do in the “Remove” random feature. If you land 3 “9” symbols during the Free Spins then you will receive 6 additional spins.

Conclusion

Devil’s Number sees you plunged into the depths of Hell where you try to land that elusive 666 times the bet. There are random features and free spins, but no wild symbols and no bonus round. The game looks OK, but is a long way away from the quality that we have seen from Red Tiger. Whilst there’s nothing blatantly wrong with this game it does lack imagination, especially when you consider the theme they had to play with. The house edge is a little on the high side, meaning that Devil’s Number has left me feeling a little underwhelmed.
