The Dia De Los Muertos game can be found at casinos offering Endorphina software. Endorphina are one of the newer casino software providers on the market but they have managed to gain distribution with some of the largest casino networks currently active within the market. As a standard Endorphina do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help file or paytables. As a software provider not licensed in the UK, and as such not required to publish this information, this is a significantly player friendly practice. As such we can state that the Dia De Los Muertos House Edge is 4.00%.
Dia De Los Muertos is a 3 reel slots game and each reel is 3 symbols high. The game uses 5 paylines, playing from left to right.
Wild – The “Female” is the Wild symbol, but only during the Free Spins feature. There is no Wild symbol during the main game. This is also the games most valuable symbol, with 3 of them as part of a winning payline paying out 500 coins.
Scatter – The “Mexican Landscape” symbol is the game’s Scatter symbol and is needed to trigger the free spin feature.
Take Risk – Whilst you might not necessarily class this as a bonus feature, it does play a significant role in the gaming experience. With every win you get the chance to try and double your win by trying your luck in a game of “Play Your Cards Right” with the game’s dealer. If you can flip over a card that is higher than the one the dealer is showing you will double your win. Flip a card that is lower than the dealer’s and you lose the lot. This round continues until you either choose to stop gambling or you lose out to the dealer. In the result of a tie, no one wins.
Free Spins – 3 “Mexican Landscape” symbols anywhere on the reels will award you with 20 free spins. During the feature the “Female” symbol becomes Wild, substituting for all symbols other than Scatters. The Free Spins feature can be re-triggered in exactly the same way that they are triggered and there is no limit on the number of times that this can happen.
Dia de Los Muertos is a fairly basic offering from Endorphina. There are only 3 reels and only 4 symbols to look out for, although one of these symbols (the Skull) does come in 4 different colours, each one with a different value. There are Free Spins and the fact that they can be re-triggered is excellent. However, this is where the good news ends from me. Only having Wilds in the Free Spins feature is disappointing and having no bonus to aim for also brings things down a little bit. The game comes with the standard “Gamble” option that seems to be integral to all Endorphina games, but other than that there is little else to comment on. The House edge is the standard 4% for Endorphina, making this game nothing more than standard in pretty much every area.
