The Dolphin’s Island slots game can be found at casinos offering iSoftBet software. iSoftBet are one of the newer casino software providers on the market but they have managed to tie down some impressive branded slots game contracts. As a standard iSoftBet do not publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help file or paytables. However as part of the UKGC license requirements many UKGC licensed operators have started to publish this information for all of their games. As such we can tell from Trada’s site that the House Edge of Dolphin’s Island is 3.44% when playing maximum paylines/coins.
Why would dolphins need an island?
Dolphin’s Island is a 5 reel slots game that does not use standard paylines. Instead any 3 or more matching symbols in any position on adjacent reels starting from the left side of the reels constitutes a win. This is equivalent to 243 standard paylines.
The ‘Dolphin’ symbol is Wild.
There are two bonus features when playing Dolphin’s Island. The first bonus feature is activated when you receive 3 or more of the ‘Wheel Bonus’ scatter symbol anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will be shown a prize wheel. The number of Wheel Bonus scatter symbols you receive determines the number of times you can spin the prize wheel. When spinning the prize wheel you can win either cash prizes of multipliers that will be applied to your next spin. If you receive a multiplier you are awarded an additional spin. If you receive 2 consecutive multipliers only the latter is applied to your win.
The second bonus feature is triggered when you receive the ‘Dolphin Wave’ bonus symbol anywhere on reel 3. When this happens you will be awarded 15 free spins. During the free spins random symbol can be changed into Dolphin Wild symbols, random reels can be turned into Wild reels and 2x2 blocks can randomly be turned into Dolphin Wild symbols.
Dolphin’s Island has a reasonable selection of bonus features, though these features are nothing even a moderately experienced slots player will not have seen before. The House Edge is reasonably attractive. Not the best game but not the worst.
