The Domnitors slots game can be found at casinos using BGaming software. BGaming is one of the newer software developers in the online gaming market. Unlike many of the smaller casino software providers BGaming offer a relatively complete suite of casino games featuring most of the major table games (other than Craps which isn't particularly popular online) and even a Video Poker game. The company is operated by the same team responsible for the SoftSwiss casino platform and Direx N.V. license. BGaming sometimes publish the slots house edge information of their games as standard. Whilst that information was not available on their website we do know that the house edge for Book of Domnitors is 3.7%.
Domnitors is a 5 reel slots game that is 3 symbols high. The game uses standard paylines, with 9 in total, playing from left to right.
Wild – The Wild symbol is the “Vlad the Impaler”, which will substitute for all symbols other than Scatters. Wild symbols will also double all wins that they help to form and they are also the game’s most valuable symbol, with 5 Wilds as part of a winning payline earning you 10000 coins.
Scatters/Free Spins – The “Map” symbol is the game’s Free Spins symbol, with 3 or more of them anywhere on the reels in a single spin earning you 15 Free Spins. All Free Spins wins are tripled.
Gamble – Any time you win you have the chance to try to double up your earnings. When you do this you have to guess the colour of card that is sitting face down. Guess correctly and you will double your earnings, guess incorrectly and you will lose everything. You can gamble as many times as you want to, but as soon as you lose you have to return to the main game.
Domnitors is set during a medieval war, which given the inclusion of Vlad the Impaler will have seen plenty of blood being spilled. There are battlements, flags, axes and other war iconography on display, with a background that appears to be a forest. The forest is not in focus and as such doesn’t add too much to the overall aesthetic of the game. The symbols are well drawn, and the flags and flaming torches surround the reels helps to bring things to life. There aren’t too many features to discuss, just Free Spins and a Wild symbol, which would be my main criticism of this game. The house edge is reasonable but not quite spectacular enough to make up for the lack of variety on offer.
