Dream Date Slot Review

Released: April 2018

The Dream Date slots game can be found at Microgaming casinos. Microgaming as a standard now publish the slots house edge information of all their games at any online casino that holds a UKGC license (this is a requirement for all UKGC licensed casinos. As such we can say that the House Edge of Dream Date is 3.55%. When playing at any venue that does not hold a UKGC license and does not specifically publish the Return to Player information for their game, this information should be used as a guideline only as we cannot confirm whether or not this game is configurable.

Will you find your romantic happy ending in the past or the present.

Dream Date is a 5 reel game that does not use standard paylines, Instead any three or more matching symbols in any position on adjacent reels starting from the left side of the reels constitutes a win. This is equivalent to 243 standard paylines.

The ‘Dream Date Logo’ symbol is Wild.

There are two bonus features when playing Dream Date. The game allows you to pick from four different ‘Date’ symbols, different in the historical and modern era versions of the game, to be your Dream Date. The first bonus feature is activated when you receive the Lady symbol in the middle of reel 1 or 5 – these are called the ‘Hot Zones’ – and one of the four Date symbols in the middle position of reel 1 or 5. When this happens all wins will be multiplied by a multiplier randomly selected from: 2, 5, 10, 20 or 40. If you receive your selected Dream Date in the Hot Zone you’ll receive the random multiplier and trigger the free spin feature described below.

The second bonus feature is triggered when you receive three or more of the ‘Moonlight Kiss Photo’ scatter symbol anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will be awarded 8 free spins. If this happens at the same time as the Hot Zones are triggered with your selected Dream Date symbol you will be awarded 16 free spins. During the free spins your selected Dream Date symbol replaces all other Date symbols. Free spins are played on an alternative set of reels.

Conclusion

Dream Date falls very flat as Microgaming slots games go. The bonus features are nothing moderately experienced slots player will not have seen before and the House Edge, while certainly not off-putting, is on a par with a lot of other games that offer far more original and entertaining bonus features. It’s not a terrible game but it does little to make itself stand out from the crowd.
