The Exotic Cats slots game can be found at Microgaming casinos. Microgaming as a standard now publish the slots house edge information of all their games at any online casino that holds a UKGC license (this is a requirement for all UKGC licensed casinos. As such we can say that the House Edge of Exotic Cats is 3.67%. When playing at any venue that does not hold a UKGC license and does not specifically publish the Return to Player information for their game, this information should be used as a guideline only as we cannot confirm whether or not this game is configurable.
The beauty of the wild cat is unsurpassed.
Exotic Cats is a 5 reel game and each reel is 3 symbols high. It does not use standard paylines. Instead three or more matching symbols anywhere on adjacent reels starting from the left side of the reels constitutes a win. This is equivalent to 243 standard paylines.
Each of the big cat symbols is Wild on a certain reel. The Lion symbol is Wild on reel 1, the Tiger symbol is Wild on reel 2, the Panther symbol is Wild on reel 3, the Leopard symbol is Wild on reel 4 and the Cougar symbol is Wild on reel 5. Each big cat symbol will expand to cover the reel it lands on when it acts as a Wild symbol.
There is only one bonus feature when playing Exotic Cats and it is triggered when you receive 3 or more of the ‘Free Spins’ scatter symbol anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will be awarded 10 free spins. During the free spins if you receive 3 or more of the Free Spins scatter symbols you will be awarded an additional 5 free spins. Free spins are played on an alternative set of reels.
Exotic Cats falls very flat as Microgaming slots games go. Aesthetically the game is attractive, but the bonus features are of a rather bland variety offering expanding Wilds and free spin, both of which are commonly seen playing hundreds of other games. The House Edge is right in the middle in the range currently being commonly seen in recent slot releases. So we have a game with features that were common 8 years ago and an average House Edge. Exotic Cats isn’t a bad game. It just isn’t anything you won’t have seen before and isn’t a bargain at the price.
