Eye of the Kraken Slot Review

The Eye of the Kraken game can be found at casinos offering Play ‘n Go software. Play ‘n Go are a growing provider in the industry and have a rapidly expanding portfolio of both slots games and clients. They do offer a full casino platform, but primarily seem to be used as a bolt on package for extra slots games. Play ‘n Go do publish the Return to Player (RTP)/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help files. As such we know that the house edge for Eye of the Kraken is 3.59%.

The Eye of the Kraken game is made up of 3 reels, each one 3 symbols high. There are 8 paylines, playing from left to right for horizontal and diagonal lines and top to bottom for vertical paylines, all excluding Scatters.

Wild – The Wild symbol the Kraken’s “Tentacle”.

Scatter – The Diver’s “Helmet” is the Scatter symbol.

Bonus Features:

Conquer the Kraken – At the bottom right hand corner of the screen you will see a sign post made up of torpedoes. The sign post will begin with the number 50 and will decease every time you reveal a torpedo. Once the banner reaches zero you will trigger the “Conquer the Kraken” bonus. When this happens you will be taken to a bonus screen where you will find the Kraken, his many tentacles filled with treasure chests. You choose 3 of the chests to reveal prizes that can be up to 500 times your original bet.

Dive Mode - You trigger the Dive Mode feature when you reveal 5 of the Diver’s “Helmet” Scatter symbols. When this happens, you will receive 9 free spins and further opportunities to win. During the free spins feature the blue “Amulet” is Wild, will replace all other symbols, excluding Scatters. Landing 3 Wild symbols in a winning combination will multiply the win by 30.

Not only does the Wild symbol change during the free spins but the Scatter symbol does too. Treasure Chests are now Scatters and can offer up the following bet multipliers:

1 Treasure Chest = 1.5x the original bet.

2 Treasure Chest = 4.5 the original bet.

3 Treasure Chest = 7.5 the original bet.

4 Treasure Chest = 15 the original bet.

5 Treasure Chest = 37.5 the original bet.

6 Treasure Chest = 75 the original bet.

7 Treasure Chest = 112.5 the original bet.

8 Treasure Chest = 150 the original bet.

9 Treasure Chest = 225 the original bet.

Conclusion

The Eye of the Kraken is a very inventive and visually appealing addition to the Play ‘n Go catalogue. The theme is an engaging one and plenty has been done to try and eek out as much of the potential that the Jules Verne inspired narrative has to offer. The bonuses are inventive, albeit a little difficult at times to trigger. The switch to different screens should help keep the player engaged, as long as the bonuses are triggered before you give in. The Wild Kraken “Tentacle” symbol has clearly been given a little extra love and attention as each one wraps itself around the grid in a visually pleasing display. You’ll find better and worse House Edge out there but as far as Play ‘n Go games are concerned 3.59% is good.
