Fire Bird Slot Review

The Fire Bird game can be found at casinos offering Wazdan software. Wazdan is one of the better established software developers in the online gaming market having been in operation since 2010. Unlike many of the smaller casino software providers Wazdan offer a selection of casino table games featuring some of the major table games, with a strong focus on slots games. Wazdan do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their games. As such we can say that the House Edge for Fire Bird is 3.95%.

Fire Bird is a 3 reel game that is 3 symbols high. The game uses 5 paylines, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

Hidden Symbols – You will notice as you spin that some of the symbols have a black background. This indicates that they are inside a black box that contains a hidden symbol. The only way to unlock the hidden symbols is to land three of them on a winning payline. If you do this you will trigger the Fire Bird symbol, which is the game’s most valuable symbol. Three of them as part of a winning payline will win you x4 the bet. To put this into perspective, the next highest earning symbol will only pay out x1.6 the bet. Fire Bird symbols can only be revealed through Hidden Symbol combinations.

Conclusion

Fire Bird as a title had me thinking that this game might be something a little exciting. But the truth is Fire Bird is about as basic as any game you are likely to come across. There are only the 3 reels and there are only the 5 paylines to win on. Strictly speaking, I would argue that there are in fact no special features here. There are no wilds, no scatters, no free spins and no bonus. But what you do get are hidden symbols. Now, all that means is that the Fire Bird symbol won’t let itself be seen until there are 3 of them as part of a winning payline. I don’t count that as a feature, more like fancy dress. The way I see it is, the Fire Bird symbols could have just been that, instead of hiding them in boxes and calling that a feature. The game doesn’t look great either and the house edge is above what we would consider to be average. All things considered, you want to avoid this game.
