Are you a raging inferno or cold as ice?
Fire vs Ice – The Eternal Battle is a 5 reel game with 25 paylines. You can only bet 1 coin per payline.
Both the ‘Fire 7’ and ‘Ice 7’ symbols are Wild. The Fire 7 Wild symbol will randomly change up to 3 symbols directly adjacent to it into Fire 7 Wild symbols. The Ice 7 Wild symbol will change one symbol directly adjacent to it into an Ice 7 Wild symbol. Both the Ice 7 Wild symbols will then remain locked in place for an additional spin.
There are two bonus features when playing Fire vs Ice – The Eternal Battle. Both bonus features can be triggered in two ways. At the top of the reels you’ll see a Fire Cannon and an Ice Cannon firing rays at each other. Each spin the amount you win from Fire symbols and Ice symbols will be compared. The symbol type that wins the most will move their ray further across the reels. If either of the Cannons managed to destroy the other Cannon you will trigger the Fire Complimentary Spins or the Ice Bonus Feature, depending on which cannon wins.
If the Fire Complimentary Spins are triggered by the Cannon you will be awarded 5 complimentary spins. They can also be triggered by receiving 3 or more of the ‘Complimentary Spins’ scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. If they are triggered in the latter fashion you will be awarded 5, 10 or 15 complimentary spins depending on the number of Free Spin symbols you received. During the complimentary spins up to 20 additional complimentary spins can be won if you receive 3 or more of the Complimentary Spins scatter symbol anywhere on the reels or you receive the Fire 7 Wild symbol anywhere on reel 5. If you trigger the Fire Complimentary Spins via the Cannon and the Complimentary Spins scatter symbol in the same round the complimentary spins will be combined.
If the Ice Bonus Feature is triggered by the Cannon you will be taken to a new screen showing a pyramid of blocks of ice with 5 on the bottom, 4 on the second row, 3 on the third row and 2 at the top. You will be awarded 4 picks from the bottom row. Each pick will award a prize. You then move on and get 3 choices from the second row. This continues until either a block explodes or you successfully complete all rows. An exploding block ends the bonus feature. If you successfully complete all rows you get to play again. The Ice Bonus Feature can also be triggered when you receive 3 or more of the ‘Bonus’ scatter symbol anywhere on the reels. When this happen you will be awarded 1, 2 or 3 plays of the bonus game depending on how many Bonus symbols you received. If the Ice Bonus Feature is triggered by both the Cannon and the Bonus symbols in the same round, the number of Bonus Feature plays are added together.
Fire vs Ice – The Eternal Battle looks good. It also sounds good. And it has a nice selection of bonus features with an interesting and unusual twist to the way they are triggered. It’s just a shame that PariPlay decided to jack the House Edge up significantly about industry average resulting in better games from other providers being available for less.
