The Fruit Rainbow slot game can be found at casinos offering Pragmatic Play software. Pragmatic Play are one of the newer slots game developers on the market but their products are polished and professional in feel and operation. As a standard Pragmatic Play do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their game help file. For a provider that are not currently licensed within the UK market and therefore are under no obligation to publish these figures this is a significantly progressive move. The House Edge for The Fruit Rainbow is 3.47%.
The Fruit Rainbow is a 5 reel game that is 4 symbols high. The game uses traditional paylines with 40 in total, playing from left to right.
This is a very traditional fruit machine themed slot. All the standard symbols are either pieces of fruit or they are playing card symbols. Pragmatic Play have kept the vibrancy of the symbols and the reels turned up high on this one.
Wild – Wild symbol is the “Rainbow”, which will substitute for all symbols other than Scatters. Wilds come stacked, but won’t necessarily land fully stacked and can appear on all reels.
Scatters – The Scatter symbol is the “Diamond”, which will pay out in combinations of 3 or more regardless of paylines.
Unfortunately you don’t really get anything in terms of bonus features with this slot. It is very much a stripped down slot, with everything resting on the base game. The symbols do all come stacked so there is a chance to land some big wins and the Scatter symbol does pay out well and is arguably the closest thing that we have to a bonus feature here.
Fruit Rainbow is competing with the most rudimentary of slots. It has a base game and nothing else and so it is relying on that base game being better than average. It certainly looks good, but then find me a Pragmatic Play release from the last 2 years that doesn’t look good. There are some high paying symbols in that base game and you get stacked symbols, including wilds, which can pay well if you get lucky. The scatters give you a chance to make something from nothing but, at the end of the day, it would have been good if they could have triggered a bonus feature or two. The house edge is offering excellent value for money, and probably does just enough to give this slot the edge over its competitors.
