Gold Money Frog Slot Review

Released January 2020

The Gold Money Frog slot game can be found at Net Entertainment casinos. Net Entertainment are one of the most established software providers on the market, being founded in 1996. Net Entertainment are a Swedish company but gained enough success to have offices all over the world. Net Entertainment do make the house edge information of their slots games available and this can be found in the help files of the game (usually accessed by pressing the ‘?’ button at the bottom left of the game window). As such, we can state that the House Edge for Gold Money Frog is 7.69%.

Gold Money Frog is a 5 reel slot that is 3 symbols high. It plays out over 25 paylines from left to right.

Theme

Gold Money Frog has a fairly standard East Asian theme, resembling slots like Imperial Riches, In terms of the aesthetic and the features that are on offer.

Special Symbols

Wild – Wild symbols will substitute for all symbols other than Scatters and Bonus.

Scatters – The “Chinese Lantern” symbol is the Scatter, which will trigger the Free Spins feature if you can land 3 or more of them on the reels on a single spin.

Bonus – The “Wheel” is the slot’s Bonus symbol, which will trigger the Progressive Jackpot if you can land 3 or more of them on a payline, playing from left to right.

Bonus Features

Free Spins – If you can land 3 , 4 or 5 Scatter symbols then you will be awarded 10, 20 or 30 Free Spins respectively. All wins that are awarded during the feature are multiplied by 3 and your Free Spins can be retriggered. You can also trigger the Bonus feature during the Free Spins.

Bonus – If you trigger the Bonus game then you will be given one spin on the Bonus wheel. The wheel is divided into 12 parts all of which are either coin wins or Jackpot wins. The size of the two wins is proportional to the size of the bet being played, with the highest number of coins available being 100. The size of the Jackpot will be displayed above the reels and is again dependant on the size of the bet. Once you win either a number of coins or the progressive jackpot the Bonus will end.

Conclusion

Gold Money Frog is nothing much to get excited about. It doesn’t look like anything you haven’t seen before and it doesn’t play like anything you haven’t seen before either. You get Wilds, Free Spins and a Bonus, which is either an instant coin win or one of the available progressive Jackpots. This is normally something that would help a slot rank highly for us but with a extraordinarily high house edge, nothing much was going to save this one. Tipping the scales at close to 8% is about as high a house edge as I have seen and makes me wonder if maybe Net Entertainment have miscalculated the number. However, it is the one they have given and as such we would recommend to steer well clear of this one.
