The Holmes and the Stolen Stones slots game is produced by Yggdrasil Gaming. Yggdrasil Gaming take their name from Norse mythology where Yggdrasil is a magical tree where dragons lived and Odin sacrificed himself. Yggdrasil Gaming are one of the smaller slot development companies on the market at the moment – primarily focusing on slots game - and do not offer a full casino platform. They lease their games out to casinos using other platforms as a bolt on package. Yggdrasil Gaming publish the Return to Player/House Edge of their slots games within the game help file. The House Edge of Holmes and the Stolen Stones is 3.20%.
Can the great detective solve another mystery?
The Holmes and the Stolen Stones game has 5 reels which are 3 symbols high. The game has 20 paylines and you can bet up to one coin on each payline.
There is no Wild symbol when playing Holmes and the Stolen Stones.
There are two bonus features when playing Holmes and the Stolen Stones. The first bonus feature can be activated in a couple of different ways. The first way happens when you receive 3 or more of the ‘Lock Free Spins’ scatter symbol anywhere on the reels. The second way when you receive a ‘Coloured Shard’ symbol. Each time this happens the Coloured Shard is banked at the top of the reel it lands on. When you have collected 5 Coloured Shard symbols on a single reel the bonus feature is triggered. When the bonus feature is triggered you will be awarded 10 free spins. During the free spins all wins are multiplied by 3. During the free spins each reel has 5 diamonds above it. Each time you receive a ‘Diamond’ symbol it will be banked at the top of that reel. If the free spins were triggered by collecting five Coloured Shard symbols that reel starts with one Diamond already in the bank. If you collect 5 Diamonds on a single reel during the free spins you are awarded the progressive jackpot shown at the top of that reel.
The second bonus feature is triggered when you receive 3 or more of the ‘Lock Bonus’ scatter symbol anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will be taken to a new screen showing a warehouse and 18 crates. Select the crates one at a time to reveal cash prizes and Coloured Shards. The Coloured Shards will be added to the appropriate reel bank at the end of the bonus feature. The bonus feature ends when you reveal a Smoke Bomb. If at the end of the bonus feature the addition of the Coloured Shards you collected would result in one of the banks about the reels reaching five Coloured Shards you will automatically trigger the free spin feature described above.
Holmes and the Stolen Stones is another classic game release by Yggdrasil Gaming. This game features all of the graphical beauty that has become common place with release from this provider and couples this with a stage driven bonus feature that melds perfectly with a progressive jackpot. This is all offered at a House Edge that is well into the attractive side of the range that is commonly being used by slots providers today to make for a game that is both great value for money and great fun to play. What more do you need? If Yggdrasil Gaming continue to produce slots games of this high a quality it is little doubt that they will soon be a dominant force in the industry and far more widely available than they currently are!
