Jackpot Holiday is a Chartwell game. Chartwell appears to have closed down with the casinos offering their games standing alone with no further updates. Chartwell do not as standard release the house edge information of their games. However some of the casinos offering Chartwell games have started releasing this information. Doxx lists the house edge of Jackpot Holiday as 3, 6 or 10%. When playing at other venues this figure should be treated as a guideline only as the game may be configurable.
The sun, the sea and the sand is what you’ll see as your tour round Europe on either a cruise ship or an across land rail adventure. Jackpot Holiday will take you back to the fondest memories of those summer holidays.
This game is a 4 reel game, with 10 paylines and you can bet up to 5 coins on each payline. Wins pay in both directions in this game.
There are two bonus features when playing Jackpot Holiday. This first is the ‘Plan Your Cruise’ bonus feature. Each time one of the ‘Cruise Ship’ symbols turn up when you spin, the small cruise ship on the map moves round one space. Once you have received 10 Cruise Ship symbols you will be taken to a new screen where you will first be asked to pick a destination, then an activity and finally a tour operator. Each choice contributes to the bonus you will receive.
Alongside this each time you receive one of the ‘Train’ symbols when you spin the small train on the map of Europe on the right of the screen will advance. Once you’ve received 10 Train symbols, you will activate the ‘Plan your Journey’ feature. This will take you to a new screen where you will be asked to choose two train carriages. Each carriage will award you a bonus.
This game has reasonably interesting bonus features, but nothing that will really capture the imagination. More fun than some, but certainly not top of the stack and that mountainous house edge really dumps it down.
