Joker Expanded Slot Review

Released October 2018

The Joker Expanded: 40 Lines game can be found at casinos offering Playson software. Playson are an established online gaming provider that have an impressive array of clients. Their games can most often be found as an addition to a larger primary gaming platform provider. As a standard Playson do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their game paytable or on the company website. As such we can say that the House Edge of Joker Expanded: 40 Lines is 3.52%.

Joker Expanded: 40 Lines is a 5 reel game that is 3 symbols high. The game uses 40 standard paylines, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

Wilds – The Wild symbol is the “Joker”, substituting for all symbols other than Scatters. Wild appear on reels 2,3 and 4 and if they are part of a winning combination will expand to fill the reels.

Scatters – The Gold Scatter symbol is the “Gold Star”, 5 of which can win you up to 100 times the bet. The Silver Scatter is the “Silver Star”. The “Silver Star” only appear on reels 1,3 and 5, meaning that the most you can reveal is 3, which will win you 20 times the bet. Less than 3 “Silver Star” symbols will not result in a win. Scatters can appear anywhere on the reels (unless limited to specific reels), not needing to be part of a payline.

Part of the Fruits and Jokers series, I was not anticipating that Joker Expanded would have much to offer. Unfortunately, my expectations were met, as this game offers almost as little gameplay as some of the other in the series. There is nothing outside of the standard slots game here for me to comment on and the theme is as simple a theme as you are ever going to find. The game does look good, but the symbols are all recycled from other games. We have wilds and they can expand. We also have a few interesting scatter symbols that help to break up the monotony a little. The house edge is about average, which is without any doubt the best thing I can say for this game. If you want to sit and watch reels spin around and around, with nothing else going on, then this is the game for you.
