Loki Wild Tiles Slot Review

Released January 2020

The Loki Wild Tiles slot game can be found at 2BY2 Gaming. 2BY2 Gaming as a standard now publish the slots house edge information of all their games at any online casino that holds a UKGC license (this is a requirement for all UKGC licensed casinos. As such we can say that the House Edge of Loki Wild Tiles is 3.96%. When playing at any venue that does not hold a UKGC license and does not specifically publish the Return to Player information for their game, this information should be used as a guideline only as we cannot confirm whether or not this game is configurable.

The Loki Wild Tiles slot game has 5 reels and each reel is 5 symbols high. Instead of paylines you form wins when you land 3 matching symbols in either a vertical or a horizontal line.

Cascades – Every time you form a winning combination the symbols involved will disappear with remaining symbols dropping down into the spaces left behind. This will give you another chance to win and the process will continue as long as you keep finding winning combinations. Each subsequent win will increase the multiplier that can be viewed to the left of the reels and if you can clear the whole board you will win a top prize.

The theme of this one is the Viking Gods, with a particular focus on Loki. He is the Wild symbol and can only appear in a very particular manner, one that will be described below. Animal symbols and certain Viking iconography are all in place and sit on top of a dramatic mountainous background.

Special Symbols

Wild – The “Loki” symbol is the Wild. The Wild will only appear when you land a win with exactly 3 symbols. The middle symbol in that win will then turn Wild once the other 2 winning symbols have disappeared. Wilds substitute for all symbols.

Bonus Features

Bonus – On every spins a Bonus reel will be in place. I you can remove all symbols from the bonus reel then you will trigger the Bonus feature. If you do this you will trigger the Free Spins feature. During the Free Spins you need to land combinations of 5 or more matching symbols anywhere on the reels to land a win. Matching 5 Loki symbols will trigger and additional 5 Free Spins, up to a maximum of 50.

This is a decent looking slot, although I would argue that the symbols do appear a little on the hazy side, as does the background. I like the cascades, I like the Free Spins and the way in which they are triggered is especially interesting. The house edge is offering decent value for money and with everything considered I would say that this is slot worth checking out.
