Net Entertainment do make the House Edge information of their slots games available and this can be found in the help files of the game (usually accessed by pressing the ‘?’ button at the bottom left of the game window). Net Entertainment games appear to only have one setting. The House Edge of Lost Relics is 3.70%.
Venture into ancient crypts and tombs to unearth the treasures of past rulers and civilisations.
Lost Relics is a 5 reel game that does not use standard paylines. Instead any cluster of 6 or more matching symbols that are vertically or horizontally adjacent constitute a win.
The ‘Snake Amulet’ symbol is Wild.
There are four bonus features when playing Lost Relics. The first three bonus feature are all activated in the same manner, randomly at the end of a winning spin. When you receive a winning combination you can receive up to 5 instances of one of the following 3 features:
- Cash win – you will receive an additional coin win of between 3 and 30 times your bet.
- Random Wilds – 3 extra Snake Amulet Wild symbols are added to random positions on the reels outside of the positions occupied by the winning cluster.
- Extra Scatter – one of the symbols making up the win will also count as an additional Scatter symbol which is banked at the top right of the reels.
The fourth bonus feature is activated when you receive 3 or more of the Scatter symbol anywhere on reels 1, 3 and 5 or as a result of the Extra Scatter symbol when you receive a winning combination. When this happens you will be awarded 10 free spins. During the free spins a small, medium or larger chest is hidden under the symbols on the reels. The type of chest is selected randomly but the first two chests are always selected from small or medium. Each winning combination uncovers the spaces that contributed to the win. When you reveal the whole chest you are awarded a combination of a coin win, sticky Snake Amulet Wild symbols added to random positions on the reels for the remainder of the free spins or additional free spins. After you have revealed a complete chest and been awarded the prize it contains a new chest is hidden and the reels are reset so all symbols are covered.
Conclusion
Lost Relics is certainly a good game. It’s visually beautiful, offers an unusual game format with interesting bonus features and packages it all up with a House Edge that’s in the competitive zone. But it doesn’t rank amongst NetEnt’s best releases. The game format may be unusual, but not so much so that you won’t find it with relative ease elsewhere and the bonus features aren’t the most creative we’ve seen coming out of the NetEnt camp. Certainly well worth a look, but unlikely to become your number one favourite NetEnt game.
