Nags to Riches Review

Your search returned no results.

Nags to Riches slots game was produced by the Ash Gaming slots design company and is leased out by casinos using many different primary casino platforms. As a standard Ash Gaming do not include the house edge information of their slots games, however some casino do list this information in the game help files. It is not clear whether their games are configurable and as such you should treat the information in this review as a guideline only when playing at a casino that does not explicitly state the house edge they use.

Bwin lists the house edge of Nags to Riches as 7.33% with the both way system on and 7.47% without.

And they’re off!

Nags to Riches had 5 reels, 25 paylines and you can bet one coin on each of the paylines.

The ‘Nags to Riches Logo’ symbol is wild.

There are four bonus features when playing Nags to Riches. The first bonus feature the player can choose to activate as and when it suits them. Alongside the standard play feature (one coin on each of the 25 paylines) the player can activated the ‘Each Way’ feature. When the player uses the Each Way feature, they automatically add the same amount that they wagered on the 25 paylines to their bet. This feature has several effects. Firstly all win that include a Nags to Riches Logo wild symbol are now doubled. The other aspects of this bonus feature will be covered as we go through the other bonus features.

The second bonus feature is activated when you receive a ‘Horse Race’ symbol on reel one. When this happens, at the end of the spin the horse will race across the reels. In normal play mode the feature is activated if the horse makes it all the way to reel 5. In Each Way mode the feature is activated if the horse makes it to reel 3, 4 or 5. When the feature is activated you are taken to a new screen showing the 8 different horse owners whose horses will be running in the race. Each owner has a multiplier attached to them. You pick one of the owners – obviously the higher the multiplier the less likely the horse is to win the race. Once you’ve picked your horse, you are taken to the race screen to watch the race. As the race progresses you can follow your horse’s progress on the leader board at the right side of the screen and also see the prize you will be award for your horse finishing in each position.

The third bonus feature is activated when you receive 3 or more of the ‘Horseshoe’ symbol anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will be awarded 10 free spins with all wins doubled if you are playing the standard game and 20 free spins with all wins doubled if you are playing the Each Way feature.

The fourth bonus feature is activated when you receive one of the ‘Betting Slip’ symbols anywhere on the reels. The betting slip shows a horse and owner that will compete in the next race and a cash prize. Each time you receive a Betting Slip symbol the symbol is stored in a bank at the top right of the reels. The next time the horse race bonus feature is activated, if any of the horses you have slips for comes first, you are awarded the cash prize listed on the slip. You only win this if the horse finishes first and this feature is independent of any wins on the main horse race feature.

Closing Thoughts

It has to be said that the house edge of Nags to Riches is more than intimidating, however the game really is great fun. While you should bear in mind the high price you are being charged, Nags to Riches offers a level of high quality entertainment that’s rare in a slots game.
