Neon City Slot Review

Released November 2019

The Neon City game can be found at casinos offering Wazdan software. Wazdan is one of the better established software developers in the online gaming market having been in operation since 2010. Unlike many of the smaller casino software providers Wazdan offer a selection of casino table games featuring some of the major table games, with a strong focus on slots games. Wazdan do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their games. As such we can say that the House Edge for Neon City is 3.75%.

Neon City is a 5 reel game that is 3 symbols high. There are 20 paylines available in this slot, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

Wild – The Wild symbol will substitute for all symbols other than the Scatter, Accumulating and Decreasing symbols. The Wild symbol is the most valuable symbol in the slot.

Scatter – The Scatter symbol will trigger the Free Spins feature if you can land 3 or more of them anywhere on the reels on a single spin.

Scatter – 3 or more of the Scatter symbols will trigger the Free Spins feature. They are also a paying symbol and do not need to form a payline to pay out.

Accumulating Symbol – The Accumulating symbol is the Green Arrow. Each time you land one it will add to the counter in the bonus game.

Decreasing Symbol – The Decreasing symbol is the Red Arrow. Each time you land one it will detract from the counter in the bonus game.

Features

Free Spins – 3, 4 or 5 Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels will award 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins respectively. The bonus comes with a multiplier that begins at x1 the bet. After 2 consecutive winning spins the multiplier will increase to x3 the bet. This can reach up to x9 the bet with each consecutive spin. Once you fail to land a win the multiplier remains in place and will begin to increase again once you manage another 2 consecutive wins.

Mega Spins – Green Arrows will add to the bonus counter, whilst Red Arrows will detract from it. Once the counter reaches 8 you need to land a further 2 Green Arrows to trigger the Mega Spins feature. This will give you 8 Free Spins and each spin will come with a x8 Multiplier.

Gamble – Once you have landed a winning payline you can choose to gamble your winnings in an attempt to double them. When this happens you will have to choose between red or black cards, trying to guess which colour will be pulled from the pack. Guess correctly and you double your bet. Get it wrong and you lose the lot.

Conclusion

Neon City is a straight-forward slot, one that looks OK, but won’t be setting the world alight any time soon. You get Wilds and 2 sets of Free Spins. Each Free Spins feature comes with a multiplier of sorts and are both triggered in different ways. The house edge is reasonable, meaning this is a slot worth checking out but probably not one to hang around playing for too long.
