Neon Jungle Slot Review

The Neon Jungle slot game can be found at casinos offering Iron Dog software. Iron Dog are one of the smaller software providers currently on the market, but the appear to be a subsidiary of the far larger and better established 1x2Gaming. They do not offer a full casino platform, but primarily seem to be used as a bolt on package for extra slots games. Iron Dog do publish the Return to Player (RTP)/House Edge information for their slots games within the game paytable. As such we know that the house edge for Neon Jungle is 3.87%.

Neon Jungle consists of 5 reels, 3 symbols high, with 20 different paylines, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols:

The White Tiger – The “White” symbol is the most valuable in the game, offering the most lucrative bet multipliers. Three “White Tiger” symbols will earn you 50 times the bet, 4 will be 400 times the bet and 5 “White Tiger” symbols will multiply the bet by 2000.

Wild – The “Monkey” symbol is wild, substituting for all symbols other than Scatters, Bonus and Free Spins.

4x – The “4x” multiplier symbol only activates when it is circled by a “Neon Glow”. Multiple combinations will not increase the win.

Scatter – The “Chameleon” symbol is a Scatter. Multiple Scatters do not increase the bet, but a “Neon Glow” randomly appearing around the “Chameleon” will award 250 coins.

Free Spins – The Free Spin symbol is a “Snail”. Multiple “Snail” symbols will not increase the number of free spins awarded, instead you gain 6 free spins when a “Neon Glow” appears around the “Snail”.

Bonus – The Bonus symbol is a “Flamingo”. Multiple “Flamingo” symbols will not contribute to the activation of the Bonus feature. Instead, a “Neon Glow” needs to appear around a “Flamingo” symbol in order to trigger the Bonus.

Bonus Features:

Bonus – Once you have triggered the Bonus feature, when a “Neon Glow” circles a “Flamingo” symbol, you will be taken to a new screen where you will play a mini game of Keno. Essentially, it’s a game of Bingo where you choose 10 numbers from a possible 28. 15 numbers are drawn and each time you have one of those numbers you move a place up the paytable:

0 numbers multiplies the bet by 50

1 numbers multiplies the bet by 75

2 numbers multiplies the bet by 100

3 numbers multiplies the bet by 125

4 numbers multiplies the bet by 150

5 numbers multiplies the bet by 250

6 numbers multiplies the bet by 400

7 numbers multiplies the bet by 750

8 numbers multiplies the bet by 1500

9 numbers multiplies the bet by 7500

10 numbers multiplies the bet by 20000

Conclusion

Neon Jungle is a smart looking game, taking advantage of a 1980s nightclub theme. The game looks like it has been pulled straight out of a scene from “Miami Vice”, with palm trees and brightly coloured skyscrapers filling the night sky. The symbols are predictably neon, but there are also some exotic plants and animals, along with the shifting “Neon Glow” ring. The features are interesting, with the Keno Light Bonus being the most immersive. Only getting 6 free spins and no re-spins is disappointing but there are games with none. The house edge is slightly above average, meaning there is some value in the game.
