The Peony Ladies game can be found at casinos offering Spinomenal software. Spinomenal is one of the newer software developers in the online gaming market. Alongside many of the smaller casino software providers Spinomenal focus heavily on slots games. The House Edge/RTP of the Spinomenal slots games is listed within the paytable for the newer games in their catalogue. For the older games, as Spinomenal is partnered with UK licensed operators and the UKGC license requires the publication of this information, RTP figures can be found on numerous casino sites. As such, we know that the house edge for Peony Ladies is 3.53%.
Forbidden Slot is a 5 reel game that is 3 symbols high. The game uses 15 standard paylines, playing from left to right and right to left.
Wild – There are 3 Wild symbols, all of which are different multipliers. The symbols are just the number and multiplication signs and there are x2, x5 and x10 symbols.
Scatter – The Scatter symbol is the “Butterfly”. 3 or more Scatter symbols will trigger 10 Free Spins and is worth x3 the bet.
Big Symbols – There are 5 Big Symbols in the game, each one is 3 symbols high and fills the reel. The symbols are essentially stacked, so not all 3 symbols worth will always appear on the reels at once. The most valuable of all the Big Symbols is the “Peach Dress”, which will earn you 15 coins if you land 3 as part of a winning payline; 60 coins if you can land 4 as part of a winning payline and 100 if you can land 5 as part of a winning payline.
For anyone who doesn’t know, a peony is a flower that comes in various different colours. The flower holds significant importance within east Asian culture, most notably China, where it is known as the “flower of riches and honour”. The game itself is following a standard template that we have seen from Spinomenal before, with this addition to that template one of the weaker, in terms of how the game looks. The colours are all pastel, making the game seem a little on the bland side. The symbols are all so similar that it is actually very difficult to describe them in ways that allows me to differentiate between them. There are Free Spins, Wilds and stacked symbols but everything. There is no bonus and there is no variety during the free spins. Everything here is fairly lackluster, making for a game that is so underwhelming I suspect that few people will ever sit down and actually play it. The one redeeming factor in this game is the house edge, which is offering some reasonable value for money, but not nearly enough to salvage anything from this particular game.
