Pirate from the East Slot Review

Released December 2019

The Pirate from the East slot can be found at Net Entertainment casinos. Net Entertainment are one of the most established software providers on the market, being founded in 1996. Net Entertainment are a Swedish company but gained enough success to have offices all over the world. Net Entertainment do make the house edge information of their slots games available and this can be found in the help files of the game (usually accessed by pressing the ‘?’ button at the bottom left of the game window). As such, we can state that the House Edge for Pirate from the East is 3.62%.

Pirate from the East is a 5-reel slot, with each reel sitting at 3 symbols high. It plays across 15 paylines, with 15 in total, playing from left to right.

Theme

Pirate from the East has, as you would expect from the title, a pirate theme. As such you can expect treasure chests, ships and swords. There is a little twist in this tale, again as the title would suggest. This particular pirate comes from somewhere in Asia, given the lettering on his hat and the style of ship that appears as a symbol.

Special Symbols

Wild – The “Pirate from the East” is the Wild symbol, which will substitute for all symbols other than Scatters. Any win involving a Wild symbol will be multiplied by 3.

Scatter – The Scatter symbol is the “Female Pirate”. You need 3 or more of them anywhere on the reels to trigger the Free Spins feature. The Scatter symbol will also pay out in combinations of 3 or more, regardless of paylines.

Free Spins

When you trigger the Free Spins you must choose one of the trigger symbols, which will reveal the number of Free Spins that you are awarded, up to a maximum of 28. You then do the same thing to reveal a multiplier that will be present during the feature, which will cannot be greater than x6 the bet. If a Scatter symbol lands during the feature then you will be given 1 additional Free Spin each time it happens.

Conclusion

Pirate from the East is as standard a slot as you are likely to see from Net Entertainment. It comes with Wilds and Free Spins and there isn’t really a whole lot more to say about it. It looks OK, but isn’t a patch on most of Net Ent’s output. The same can be said about how engaging this one is. The house edge offers value, but it isn’t enough to make Pirate from the East a slot we would recommend.
