The Pirate Radio slots game is produced by Realistic. Realistic are one of the smaller slot development companies on the market at the moment and do not offer their own casino platform. Instead they lease their games out to casinos using other platforms. Realistic appear to publish the house edge of their slots games in the game paytable, however this may not be universal at all casinos offering these games and as such the figures published here should be treated as a guideline when playing at any casino other than the one referenced as their games may be configurable. The house edge of Pirate Radio is 4.8%.
A play on words – the pirate radio station’s actually been taken over by pirates.
This game is a 5 reel game, with 20 paylines and you can only bet one coin on each payline.
The ‘Skull and Crossbones’ symbol is wild.
There are two bonus features available when playing Pirate Radio. The first is activated when you receive three or more of the ‘Treasure Chest’ scatter symbol anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will you will be taken to a new screen showing two spinning disks. You click stop on the first and it will randomly come to rest with an arrow pointing to a number of complimentary spins between 5 and 25. Press stop on the second disk and it will randomly come to rest with an arrow pointing to a multiplier between 2 and 6. During the complimentary spins, if you receive 3 more Treasure Chest symbols on a single spin you will be awarded a number of complimentary spins and multiplier equal to the first set.
The second bonus feature is activated when you get 5 matching Pirate DJ symbols on any of the paylines. When this happens you will be awarded 10 complimentary spins on a new set of reels with a very high payout frequency.
Pirate Radio certainly doesn’t buck authority like either pirates or a pirate radio station, instead complying with just about every standard for a slots game. Nothing creative going on here.
