Queen's Day Tilt Slot Review

Released: February 2019

The Queen’s Day Tilt game can be found at casinos offering Play ‘n Go software. Play ‘n Go are a growing providers in the industry and have a rapidly expanding portfolio of both slots games and clients. They do offer a full casino platform, but primarily seem to be used as a bolt on package for extra slots games. Play ‘n Go do normally publish the Return to Player (RTP)/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help files. However, in this instance they have failed to include that information. This is an unusual omission from the software developers and hopefully not a sign of things to come. Once we have the information we will publish it but until then please understand that our overall rating for this game will be subject to further review.

The Queen’s Day Tilt game has 3 reels and each reel is 3 symbols high. The game does not use traditional paylines. Instead you are looking for combinations of two or more identical symbols in a row, either horizontally or vertically. Each time you land a winning combination the symbols that make it up will explode and those that remain will fall into those lost spaces, giving you another chance to win. Please note that new symbols will not be added to the reels, unless a random feature has been triggered.

Special Symbols

Wild – The “Queen” is the game’s Wild symbol, which will substitute for all other symbols. Wild symbols are removed from the grid if they are the last remaining symbol.

Bonus Features

The Ruler – This is a random event in the game, meaning it can be triggered at any point without warning. When it does trigger it will do so after a non-winning spin, at which point a Wild symbol will be added to the reels to give you another chance to win. Wild symbols will not replace high paying symbols.

Tilt – If you are left with only one symbol on the grid there is a random chance that you will trigger the game’s Free Spins feature. You can win up to 5 Free Spins. During the Free Spins you will always trigger additional Free Spins if you reduce the grid to one symbol.

Game of Accession – You trigger this bonus feature when you land a winning combination using both of the high paying Knight symbols. When this happens you will have one free round where only Knight symbols are present and before the free round you will have to chose which of the two Knights you think will score the most winning combinations. If you choose the winner, your wins will be doubled. If the round finishes in a draw the feature will re-trigger and if you lose you will collect your winnings as normal.

Queen’s Day Free Spins – You will trigger the Queen’s Day Free Spins when you clear the grid of all symbols. When you do so you will be awarded 5 Free Spins. During the Free Spins there are only high paying symbols and there is a multiplier that will increase, beginning at x2 the bet for all winning combinations. To increase the multiplier you need to win on both Knight combinations in a single spin. If you clear the grid you will re-trigger the Free Spins.

Conclusion

Queen’s Day Tilt is another Royal feast from the software developers at Play ‘n Go. It was only a few months ago that they brought us the action packed Battle Royal, a game celebrating the life and crimes of Henry VIII. That scored well with us and almost all indicators suggest that this game will do the same. The game is up to the usual high standards that Play ‘n Go set, a company now firmly establish as one of the most inventive in the business. Despite there only being 3 reels to work through there is a lot going on here. You get two random features, Free Spins, a bonus feature and wilds. That’s pretty impressive stuff, making this a game that will not bore you. The only real down side is the lack of RTP information. Normally Play ‘n Go stick to 96% and always publish that info in their games. For the purpose of this review we will assume that this is the case but will look to change the review once the game is being played in UK casinos and we know exactly what the house edge is.
