The Reptoids slots game is produced by Yggdrasil Gaming. Yggdrasil Gaming take their name from Norse mythology where Yggdrasil is a magical tree where dragons lived and Odin sacrificed himself. Yggdrasil Gaming are one of the smaller slot development companies on the market at the moment – primarily focsiung on lottery and scratch card game - and do not offer a full casino platform. They lease their games out to casinos using other platforms as a bolt on package. Yggdrasil Gaming publish the Return to Player/House Edge of their slots games within the game help file. The House Edge of Reptoids is 3.90%.
The Reptoids are here and they could be anyone. Can you uncover the conspiracy to save the human race?
The Reptoids game has 5 reels, 20 paylines and you can bet one coin per payline.
There is no standard Wild symbol while playing Reptoids.
There are two bonus features when playing Reptoids. Each spin there is a Reptoid detector on the reels that will randomly select one symbol. The first bonus feature is activated when the Reptoid detector lands on top of a character symbol. When this happens all instances of that character in play will turn into Wild symbols.
The second bonus feature is activated when the ‘Coin’ scatter symbol lands in the Reptoid detector. When this happens you will be awarded 7 free spins. During the free spins if the Reptoid detector turns a character symbol into a Wild symbol it remains Wild for the remainder of the free spins.
Reptoids isn’t Yggdrasil Gaming’s strongest release. Graphically this game is as impressive as their other releases but the bonus features offered by this game are on the mundane side. Yes the Reptoid detector is unusual but it isn’t unique and doesn’t make up for only having a free spin feature. This is combined with a House Edge that’s up at the upper end of the range being used by the more recent slots released to make for a game that’s more pricey than many better games. Not a bad game in itself, but just not good enough to seek out for what it offers.
