Retromania Slot Review

The Retromania slots game can be found at casinos offering Endorphina software. Endorphina are one of the newer casino software providers on the market but they have managed to gain distribution with some of the largest casino networks currently active within the market. As a standard Endorphina do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help file or paytables. As a software provider not licensed in the UK, and as such not required to publish this information, this is a significantly player friendly practice. As such we can state that the Retromania House is 4.00%.

Retromania is a 5 reel slots game and each reel is 3 symbols high. The game uses 9 paylines, playing from left to right and you can bet up to 10 coins per payline.

Special Symbols

Wild – The “Female” symbol is wild and will substitute for all symbols other than the “Star”.

Bonus – The Bonus symbol is the “Star” and can appear anywhere on the reels.

7 – The “Typewriter” symbol is the most valuable in the game. 3 “Typewriter” symbols in a winning combination win 2000 coins, 4 wins 10000 coins and 5 “Typewriter” symbols will win you 50000 coins when combined within a winning payline.

Bonus Features

Take Risk – Whilst you might not necessarily class this as a bonus feature, it does play a significant role in the gaming experience. With every win you get the chance to try and double your win by trying your luck in a game of “Play Your Cards Right” with the game’s dealer. If you can flip over a card that is higher than the one the dealer is showing you will double your win. Flip a card that is lower than the dealer’s and you lose the lot. This round continues until you either choose to stop gambling or you lose out to the dealer. In the result of a tie, no one wins.

Bonus– You will trigger the game’s bonus feature when you land three or more of the “Star” symbols anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will play a game of Bonus Roulette. Your goal is to match symbols from the Bonus Reels to those on the Bonus Roulette. 3 “Star” symbols will win you one shot, 2 “Star” symbols will win you 2 shots and 5 “Star” symbols will win you 3 shots on the Bonus Roulette. Again, the “Typewriter” is the most valuable. The “X” symbol will either remove one of your shots or end the bonus if you only have one shot left.

Retromania uses symbols from the age of analogue to bring this slots game to life. There are records, photo spools, typewriters, cassette tapes, transistor radios and more, to either remind you of the glory days or give you a glimpse into the past, depending on just how old and curmudgeonly you are. The game is seriously simple, offering little game play, with a design that fails to inspire. There are no animated sequences and the bonus round is a little on the drab side. The are no free spins but there are wilds and the game offers the usual Endorphina “Risk” option with every win. At 4%, the house edge is typical for an Endorphina game, but slightly more than what we would want to see.
