The Safari slots game can be found at casinos offering Endorphina software. Endorphina are one of the newer casino software providers on the market but they have managed to gain distribution with some of the largest casino networks currently active within the market. As a standard Endorphina do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help file or paytables. As a software provider not licensed in the UK, and as such not required to publish this information, this is a significantly player friendly practice. As such we can state that the Safari House is 4.00%.
Safari is a 5 reel slots game and each reel is 4 symbols high. The game uses 50 paylines, playing from left to right and you can bet up to 10 coins per payline.
Wild – The “Envelope” symbol is wild and will substitute for all symbols other than Scatters.
Scatter – The Scatter symbol is the “Book of Africa” and is only available on reels 1,2 and 3.
7 – The “Lion” symbol is the most valuable in the game. 2 “Lion” symbols in a winning combination win 10 coins, 3 wins 40 coins, 4 wins 200 coins and 5 “Lion” symbols will win you 1000 coins when combined within a winning payline.
Take Risk – Whilst you might not necessarily class this as a bonus feature, it does play a significant role in the gaming experience. With every win you get the chance to try and double your win by trying your luck in a game of “Play Your Cards Right” with the game’s dealer. If you can flip over a card that is higher than the one the dealer is showing you will double your win. Flip a card that is lower than the dealer’s and you lose the lot. This round continues until you either choose to stop gambling or you lose out to the dealer.
Free Spins – You will trigger the game’s free spin bonus when you land three or more of the “Book of Africa” Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will be awarded 10 free spins. Stacked wilds will appear on reels 2,3,4 and 5, increasing your chance of winning. You can retrigger the free spin feature once but will only be awarded 5 extra spins on the re-trigger.
Safari is a solid offering from Endorphina, taking advantage of a tried and tested theme that all slots developers seem to have listed somewhere in their back catalogue. The game is not going to blow anyone away in terms of its design, as Endorphina have played things relatively safe and simple. The colours used lack the vibrancy you might want from a slots game, however the symbols are well drawn. The Risk element appears to be an old favourite of Endorphina and is probably best left alone. The free spins are a welcome addition, as is the use of wilds and we’re always happy to see re-triggers in free spin feature. We’d obviously like to see a little more variety in the game play, with no other bonuses here to speak of. The house edge is the standard 4% for an Endorphina game, meaning there are better value for money games out there.
