Seven 7’s Slot Review

Released February 2020

The Seven 7’s slot game can be found at Microgaming casinos. Microgaming as a standard now publish the house edge information of all their slots at any online casino that holds a UKGC license (this is a requirement for all UKGC licensed casinos). As such we can say that the House Edge of Seven 7’s is 3.4%. When playing at any venue that does not hold a UKGC license and does not specifically publish the Return to Player information for their game, this information should be used as a guideline only as we cannot confirm whether or not this game is configurable.

Theme

The theme of this slot is a little tricky to nail down. As I will go on to explain this slot isn’t much like any you’re likely to have played before and as such a theme isn’t exactly jumping out at me. The design is art deco and, as the title should tell you, the number 7 plays a significant role. The art deco design draws to mind the 1920s and 30s and because of that I can’t help but be reminded of films that depict carnivals and fairs from that time.

Seven 7’s only has 1 reel. Only has 1 payline and it only has 3 symbols. So despite its ornate design you couldn’t really have anything as simple, in terms of the game play. The winning symbol is the 7 and if you can land a full one on the reel then another reel will appear. Again, land a 7 on that one and another will appear again. This can continue until you have 7 reels in play and if you can land a 7 on that one then you will win the jackpot.

Special Symbols

Wild– The Wild symbol is a “x2” and is the only paying symbol that isn’t a 7. If you land one it will substitute for the 7 and as such it can only appear on reels 2-7.

Bar – The Bar symbol will pay out nothing. Land a full one on the first reel and you gain nothing. Land a full one on any other reels and you will revert back to the base game.

Bonus Features

There are not real Bonus features in this slot.

Conclusion

This is a very different sort of slot that Microgaming have brought us. You don’t get a whole lot but you get something that you probably haven’t seen before. 1 payline, 1 reel, 3 symbols and no real features, other than additional reels every time you land a 7. This is a simple slot but one that is still surprisingly engaging. You get Wilds and you get an excellent house edge. This won’t be for everyone but you’ll only know for sure if you check it out yourself, something we would recommend you do.
