Spinning Lights Slot Review

Released May 2019

The Spinning Lights slots game can be found at casinos offering Spinomenal software. Spinomenal is one of the newer software developers in the online gaming market. Alongside many of the smaller casino software providers Spinomenal focus heavily on slots games. The House Edge/RTP of the Spinomenal slots games is listed within the paytable for the newer games in their catalogue. For the older games, as Spinomenal is partnered with UK licensed operators and the UKGC license requires the publication of this information, RTP figures can be found on numerous casino sites. As such, we know that the house edge for Spinning Lights is 5.5%.

Spinning Lights is a 5 reel game that is 3 symbols high on reels 1 and 5 and 4 symbols high on reels 2, 3 and 4. The game uses 30 standard paylines, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

Wilds – The game’s Wild symbol will substitute for all symbols other than Free Spins and Bonus symbols. 5 Wild symbols on a winning payline will award a x150 multiplier.

Free Spins– The Free Spins “Biohazard” symbols will trigger the Free Spins feature if you can land one on reel 5. You will be awarded with 10 Free Spins in total.

Bonus – The Bonus symbol can appear on the reels at random and award an instant cash win.

Bonus Features

Stacked Wilds – Whilst the reels are spinning a Stacked Wild might appear on reels 1 and/or reels 5. Stacked Wilds are only available during the base game.

Mega Symbols – All medium paying symbols have the chance to turn into 2×2 or 3×3 Mega symbols and will appear on the reels 2 – 4 only.

Free Spins – If you can land a Free Spins symbol on reels 1 and 5 in a single spin then you will be awarded with 10 Free Spins. The Free Spins feature cannot be re-triggered.

Prize Box Feature – The Prize Box Feature is only available during the Free Spins. With every spin during the Free Spins feature the Prize Box will spin. It will land on either a multiplier, which will be added to any wins, or additional Free Spins.

If you played Spinomenal’s 4 Horsemen game that was released in March then you will have essentially played this game already. Whilst the symbols are less demonic, a bit more bright and breezy, strip all the neon away and this is exactly the same game. Like 4 Horsemen there are some features here I like, from the mega symbols to the free spins and the instant cash bonus. However, the house edge is also identical and as that was sitting at roughly 2% higher than what we want to see, the Spinning Lights game is not offering good value for money, which means we won’t be recommending it.
