The Street Magic game can be found at casinos offering Play ‘n Go software. Play ‘n Go are a growing providers in the industry and have a rapidly expanding portfolio of both slots games and clients. They do offer a full casino platform, but primarily seem to be used as a bolt on package for extra slots games. Play ‘n Go do publish the Return to Player (RTP)/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help files. As such we know that the house edge for Street Magic is 4%.
The Street Magic game has 5 reels and each reel is 4 symbols high. This game uses 20 paylines, playing from left to right.
Wild – The “Gold Card” symbols are Wild, substituting for all symbols other than Scatters. They are also, along with the “Gold Ring”, the most valuable symbols in the game.
Scatter – The “Magician” is the game’s Scatter symbol, triggering free spins and bonuses. The “Magician” symbol is only available on reels 1,3 and 5. The “Magician” symbol is also wild and will substitute for any other symbols to help create winning combinations.
Free Spins – To trigger the game’s Free Spin feature you need to land 3 of the “Magician” symbols in a single spin. When you do so you will have to pick a card from the magician and will be awarded 8,10 or 12 free spins at random. During the Free Spins feature all Wild “Gold Card” symbols will stick in place until the spins end. If you land a Wild “Gold Card” symbol on all five of the reels during your free spins you will be awarded additional spins. You can gain an extra 4,6 or 8, designated at random. You can only trigger the additional spins once during a single Free Spins feature.
Magician Performances – When you reveal 2 of the “Magician” symbols on the reels you will trigger one of three bonuses decided at random:
The Expanding Man – When this feature is activated the two “Magician” symbols that triggered it will expand to fill the reels.
The Transporting Man – When this feature is activated an addition “Magician” symbol will appear on the reels and trigger the game’s Free Spin feature.
The Wild Shuffle – When this feature is activated, 4 Wild “Gold Card” symbols will be added to the reels.
Street Magic is, when you strip away all the glitz and glamour, a relatively simple slots game. There aren’t too many paylines and the main bonus is a much-welcomed Free Spin feature. Having additional spins built in is a nice touch but if I was to be greedy I’d not want them limited as they are. The other bonuses are based around the “Magician” and all add something special to the game. Having an extra shot at getting into the Free Spins feature is a fantastic idea. The game looks good but I don’t think it would be too much to ask for more. If we’re dealing in magic then surely the game should look magic? The house edge is the standard Play n Go 4%, which is itself pretty average for a slots game. This is a game that I’d recommend to anyone who likes a simple slots game, one where you always know what’s going on but one that has a few little additions to help keep things interesting.
