Temple Cats Slot Review

The Temple Cats slots game can be found at casinos offering Endorphina software. Endorphina are one of the newer casino software providers on the market but they have managed to gain distribution with some of the largest casino networks currently active within the market. As a standard Endorphina do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help file or paytables. As a software provider not licensed in the UK, and as such not required to publish this information, this is a significantly player friendly practice. As such we can state that the Temple Cats is 4.00%.

Temple Cats is a 5 reel slots game and each reel is 3 symbols high. The game uses 10 paylines and you can bet up to 10 coins per payline.

Special Symbols

Wild – The “Cat and Dog” is the Wild symbol, replacing all symbols other than Scatters.

Scatter – The “Cat and Dog” symbol is also the game’s Scatter symbol and is used to trigger free spins.

Egyptian Woman – The “Egyptian Woman” symbol is the most valuable in the game. 2 “Egyptian Woman” symbols in a winning combination win 20 coins, 3 wins 200 coins, 4 wins 2000 coins and 5 “Egyptian Woman” symbols will win you 10000 coins when combined within a winning payline.

Bonus Features

Take Risk – Whilst you might not necessarily class this as a bonus feature, it does play a significant role in the gaming experience. With every win you get the chance to try and double your win by trying your luck in a game of “Play Your Cards Right” with the game’s dealer. If you can flip over a card that is higher than the one the dealer is showing you will double your win. Flip a card that is lower than the dealer’s and you lose the lot. This round continues until you either choose to stop gambling or you lose out to the dealer. In the result of a tie, no one wins.

Free Spins – You will trigger the game’s free spin bonus when you land three or more of the “Cat and Dog” symbols anywhere on the reels. When this happens you will be awarded 10 free spins. You can now choose any symbol to expand during the free spins.

Feature – During the Free Spins you have the chance to trigger an additional feature. At any point an expanded symbol could expand further to cover 3 positions on the reels. This can only happen if there are enough symbols present to generate a win.

Temple Cats is Endorphina’s entry into the land of the Pharos. No slots developer would be worth the paper their money is printed on if they didn’t get an Egyptian game into their catalogue at some point. However, if it’s an Egyptian themed slots game that you are after then there are far better examples out there. The design of the game is very simple, with symbols and a background that meet the brief but don’t exactly set the world alight. The bonus features are pretty standard, although the expanding symbols are nice enough touch. We have free spins and we have wilds, so all the basics are in play, and basic is pretty much what this game has to offer. The house edge is the standard Endorphina 4%, which as I’ve written before when reviewing their games, is neither good nor bad news. All in all, playing Temple Cats is a fairly unremarkable experience.
