Testament Slot Review

Released: March 2020

The Testament slot game can be found at casinos offering Play ‘n Go software. Play ‘n Go are a growing providers in the industry and have a rapidly expanding portfolio of both slots games and clients. They do offer a full casino platform, but primarily seem to be used as a bolt on package for extra slots games. Play ‘n Go do publish the Return to Player (RTP)/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help files. As such we know that the house edge for Testament is 3.8%.

The Testament slot has 5 reels and each reel is 3 symbols high. Instead of paylines, you form winning combinations of 3 or more matching symbols across adjacent reels. There are 243 different ways to win in total.

Testament are a famous thrash metal band, seeing Play ‘N’ Go continue their form for creating slots based around a hard rock music. Like a few of the other slots they have released in conjunction with metal bands this one plays on the gothic side of things, with symbols that look like demons and various undead creatures.

Special Symbols

Wild – The “Skull” symbol can turn into a Wild at random. If it does it will substitute for all symbols other than the Scatter. During the Free Spins feature the “Skull” will always turn Wild.

Scatter – The Scatter symbol is the “Snakehead Demon”. You need 3 or more of the to trigger the Free Spins feature. 2 of them will trigger the Song feature.

Song Feature – If you land 2 of the Scatter symbols you will trigger the “Song Feature”. When this happens you will be given 3 Free Spins. During the feature the reels will change to a 4, 5, 6, 5, 4 formation, Skulls will always turn Wild and when they land they will spread up or down the reel that they land on. Wild symbols will also stick in place for the Spins.

Free Spins – When you trigger the Free Spins you will be given 9 in total. Any symbol above the minimum 3 needed to play the Free Spins will award an instant cash prize. Every time you land a Scatter symbol you will expand the reels, which can hit a 4, 5, 6, 5, 4 formation if you land enough. If you hit the maximum sized reels then you will be awarded an additional 3 Free Spins. During the Free Spins all “Skull” symbols will turn Wild.

Testament is an excellent slot, continuing this exciting series of games from the providers over at Play ‘N’ Go. It looks the part with exceptionally creepy looking symbols and you’re a fan of the band you get their music to play along in the background as you spin. You get Wilds and you get 2 different Free Spins features (3 if you class the 3 spin retrigger as a separate feature). The house edge is offering decent value but nothing too spectacular. Essentially, this is great addition to the Play ‘N’ Go back catalogue.
