Three Musketeers Slot Review

The Three Musketeers slot game can be found at casinos offering Red Tiger software. Red Tiger is a relatively new software developer in the online gaming market, having only been in operation since 2014. Red Tiger focus primarily on slots games but do offer a few table games, albeit a very limited range of them. In compliance with UK gaming legislation, Red Tiger publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their pay tables. As such, we can say that the House Edge for Three Musketeers is 3.82%.

Three Musketeers is a 5 reel slot that is 4 symbols high. The game uses traditional paylines, with 40 in total, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

High Paying Symbol – The highest paying symbols are the Wild symbol and the “Musketeer’s Crest”.

Wild – The Wild symbol is, along with the “Musketeer’s Crest” the highest paying symbol in the slot. Wild symbols will substitute for all paying symbols.

Bonus Symbols – There are 3 Bonus symbols: a Red, Blue and a Green. Each one triggers a different Bonus feature. Each time you land one, the corresponding meter to the right of the reels will fill up slightly. Once the meter is full you will trigger that feature.

Bonus Features

Random Wilds – Along with the standard Wild a number of random Wilds can be added to reels at any times. There are three different ways that Wilds can be added to the reels with each of the musketeers having his own way to do so:

Porthos Wilds – If the Red Porthos Wilds are triggered at random then Porthos will add wilds to the reels by slashing them horizontally, leaving wilds where his slash marks have been.

Aramis Wilds – If the Blue Aramis Wilds are triggered at random then Aramis will add wilds to the reels by slashing them vertically, leaving wilds where his slash marks have been.

Athos Wilds – If the Green Athos Wilds are triggered at random then Athos will add wilds to the reels by slashing them diagonally, leaving wilds where his slash marks have been.

Bar Bonus – If you can fill the Red Porthos meter by collecting enough Porthos symbols then you will trigger the Bar Bonus. When you enter the bar you have to choose which symbols to reveal and how far you can make it around the bar. The further you go the more likely you are to win more.

Wheel Bonus – If you can fill the Blue Aramis meter by collecting enough Aramis symbols then you will trigger the Wheel Bonus. When you spin the reel you will either win a multiplier that will be applied to the triggering bet size, or you will gain a multiplier plus re-spin on the Wheel.

Offer Bonus – If you can fill the green Athos meter by collecting enough Athos symbols then you will trigger the Offer Bonus. You will meet with Athos who has three cash prize offers for you. You must decide which of his three offers to accept. If you refuse the first offer, it is gone and you will be offered a second. If you refuse the second, it is gone and you must accept the third and final offer as your prize.

Conclusion

Three Musketeers is, as I am sure you will have guessed, based on the 19th century Alexandre Dumas novel that has seen many film and TV screen adaptations over the years. Because of this, 3 is the magic number in this slot. There are 3 different randomly triggered Wild features and there are 3 different Bonus features, with each of the main characters playing a part in those features. There are no Free Spins but you do get Wilds and because of the meters you always how close you are to triggering one of the Bonuses. The house edge is reasonable, making this a game that is worth a look.
