Triple Dragons Review

Released November 2018

The Triple Dragons slot game can be found at casinos offering Pragmatic Play software. Pragmatic Play are one of the newer slots game developers on the market but their products are polished and professional in feel and operation. As a standard Pragmatic Play do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their game help file. For a provider that are not currently licensed within the UK market and therefore are under no obligation to publish these figures this is a significantly progressive move. The House Edge of Triple Dragons is 3.49%.

Triple Dragons is a 3 reel game that is 3 symbols high. The game uses 5 standard paylines, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

Wild – The Wild symbol is the “Wild Dragon”, substituting for all symbols.

Bonus Features

Re-Spin Until You Win – When 1 or 2 stacked “Dragon” symbols land on the reels they will turn into “Wild Dragon” symbols and stick in place. The remaining reel(s) will keep spinning until you secure a winning payline. If you have 1 stack of Dragon symbols in place and you secure another stack during the re-spins, they will also become Wild and the final reel will continue spinning until you win.

Closing Thoughts

Triple Dragons is most certainly not to be confused with Double Dragon. This is not 1988 and you are not a ninja. Triple Dragons is a much more sedate game, deriving its name from the stacks of 3 symbols that make up the reels. Every symbol is stacked 3 symbols high and the most valuable symbol is the Dragon. You know you’re doing well if you can land multiple stacks of Dragons on the reels because when you do they trigger the game’s solitary feature by turning them into Wilds and giving you re-spins until you win. The game looks good but let’s face it, Chinese themed games are pretty common and chances are you already have a favourite one that you like playing. If that is the case it is very unlikely that Triple Dragons is going to replace it. The lack of features makes the game, quite simply, boring to play. There is just nowhere near enough going on to hold anyone’s attention long enough. On top of a lack of features there are only 3 reels, 5 paylines and a paltry 8 symbols, 4 of which are playing card symbols. The house edge is better than you might be expecting and is the one shining light in what has been a rather drab experience.
