The Vegas Diamonds game can be found at casinos offering Elk Studios software. Elk Studios are a small but quickly growing casino software developer primarily focusing on the mobile market. At the present time they only offer slots games. Players should be aware that this software provider includes ‘betting strategies’ as an automated feature. These should be avoided. They offer no mathematical gain to the player and increase the risk of large losses in comparison to your bankroll. As a standard Elk Studios do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their game paytable. As such we can say that the House Edge of Vegas Diamonds is 4%.
Vegas Diamonds is made up of 3 reels, each one 3 symbols high. There are 5 paylines in total, playing from left to right.
Special Symbols
Wild – The Wild symbols are multipliers and will multiply the bet by the number that is indicated on them. They range from a x2 multiplier to a x5 multiplier. Wild symbols will replace all other symbols excluding Bonus symbols and the nudge feature on the Diamond symbol.
Bonus – 3 or more of the “Bonus Wheel” symbols are needed in order to trigger the game’s bonus feature.
Vegas Diamonds- If you can land 3 of the Vegas Diamonds symbols anywhere on the reels, the reels will nudge and place all three symbols in the middle row.
Bonus Features
Perfect Match Re-spins – If you land the same symbols in reels 1 and 2 then they will lock in place for 3 re-spins, with the 3rd reel being the only one that spins.
Bonus Game – The Bonus Game is called the Fortune Wheel. You trigger it by landing 3 bonus symbols anywhere on the reels in a single spin. When this happens you will be given 3 spins on the bonus wheel. You will either land on a bet multiplier, a level up or a Free Spins section of the wheel. If you land on a Free Spins section, you will be given that many free spins with the bet multiplied by the number of spins you have won. You will gain an addition free spin for every Bonus Symbol that you reveal during the Free Spins. There are three levels: a bronze, silver and gold level, with each level having more valuable prizes available. Each time you land on the level up section you will move to the next level and be given one additional spin.
Closing Thoughts
Vegas Diamonds is a decent looking game that takes you into the heart of the gambling world. Vegas is there for you in all its glittering and resplendent glamour, making the perfect backdrop to any slots game. The symbols look good but are firmly rooted in that traditional slot machine mould, meaning there is little opportunity for imaginative scope here. There are a few interesting bonuses, which help keep things ticking over nicely, with the bonus round being a particular high point. The house edge is slightly above what we’d want to see but the other elements in this game help to make up for it. Unfortunately, despite all these positives, it’s always going to be hard to recommend a game with built in betting strategies. The “Advanced Betting Strategies” are sold as an advantageous game feature, when these strategies offer the player no improvement over flat betting. The reality is that if you increase your bet, you’re more likely to lose money than you are to make any. This is poor practice, and it drags everything positive about the game down. We would be highly critical of any website offering bogus betting strategies so a game developer doing this is even more problematic for us. If this was not a feature in the game I would be scoring this game much higher than I have done.
