Viking & Gods 2 Slot Review

The Vikings & Gods 2 slots game can be found at casinos offering Spinomenal software. Spinomenal is one of the newer software developers in the online gaming market. Alongside many of the smaller casino software providers Spinomenal focus heavily on slots games. The House Edge/RTP of the Spinomenal slots games is listed within the paytable for the newer games in their catalogue. For the older games, as Spinomenal is partnered with UK licensed operators and the UKGC license requires the publication of this information, RTP figures can be found on numerous casino sites. As such, we know that the house edge for Vikings & Gods 2 is 4.87%%.

Vikings & Gods 2 is a 5 reel game that is 3 symbols high. The game uses 50 standard paylines, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

Wilds – The Viking in the helmet is the game’s Wild symbol, substituting for all symbols other than Free Spins and Bonus symbols. 5 Wild symbols on a winning payline will award a x200 multiplier.

Free Spins/Scatters – The Free Spins “Hammer” symbols are Scatters and 3 or more will trigger the game’s Free Spin feature.

Bonus – The Bonus symbol is the “Tree”. 3 or more will trigger the game’s Bonus feature.

Bonus Features

The game comes with 2 features that occur at random. They are described below:

Extra Wilds – If this feature is triggered bolts of lightning will strike the reels, leaving behind additional wild symbols. When the Extra Wilds feature does trigger between 4 and 12 additional wilds will be added to the reels.

Win Multiplier – During a spin a Win multiplier may be added to the reels. This happens at random and can be worth x2, x3, x4 or x5 the bet. This is only available during the main game.

Free Spins – 3 or more of the Viking wearing a helmet symbols will trigger the game’s Free Spins, where you will be awarded with 10 Free Spins that pay out x5 the bet.

Re-Spins – During the Free Spins feature, every winning combination will result in a re-spin where the reels all move down 1 row and new row is added to the top of the reels. Another win will result in a another re-spin.

Bonus Game – If you trigger the Bonus game by landing 3 of the “Tree” symbols on a single spin you will take a spin on the bonus wheel that will determine what bonus game you play. The options are Asgard, Hellheim, Muspellheim and Niflheim. A wheel will spin and choose one of these at random. However, all the bonuses that you can land are essentially the same game, you just have a different symbol to click on. Each bonus game involves you clicking on the symbols that are there, each on revealing a cash prize. All of which will be added together for a cash prize total at the end of the feature.

I have to confess to having never played Vikings and Gods, so I can’t say whether the second game in the franchise is an improvement or not. However, I can comment on what this game has to offer. Like many Spinomenal games you get plenty of additional features. There are wilds, free spins, a bonus feature and some random features. You even get some additional features in the free spins. If I had any complaints to make about the features it would simply be that even though you get a lot of them, they could be picked up and placed in just about any other Spinomenal game. In other words, none of the additional features feel very special, or as if they were made especially for this particular game. The house edge is too high, something Spinomenal have been bad for of late and as such the game is one that we do like but probably wouldn’t recommend you play.
