Wacky Monsters is a 5 reel game that is 3 symbols high. The game uses 10 standard paylines, playing from left to right.
Wild – The Wild symbol is the “Mummy”, which will substitute for all symbols other than Scatters.
Scatter – The Scatter symbol is the “Green Three-Eyed Ghost”, which comes the same number of Free Spins but a larger multiplier depending on how many are needed to trigger the feature. 3 will earn you 10 Free Spins at x2 the bet. 4 will earn you 10 Free Spins at x4 the bet. 5 will earn you 10 Free Spins at x6 the bet.
Winning Multiplier – At the top of the screen you will see the “Winning Multiplier”. Every time you fail to pick up a winning combination on the reels a space will be filled in on the Winning Multiplier. When you do win the Winning Multiplier will multiply your bet by the amount that you have collected, depending on how many spaces you have filled in. You can win up to a x16 multiplier on this feature.
This slots game preys on one of my own personal demons. A phobia that runs so deep inside me that I shake just thinking about it. A fear that permeates so pervasively that I’m stringing out sentences in the hope that I won’t have to write it down. As with all phobias, sometimes the only way we can purge it from our lives is to look it straight in the eye and stare it down. Here goes. Nothing makes my skin crawl quite as much as the use of the word “Wacky”. Never in my life have I enjoyed any experience that has been prefixed with the word. Never in my have I seen a piece of clothing described as wacky that I didn’t think looked stupid. Never in my life have I enjoyed the company of a person who self-identifies as wacky. And so it is with trembling trepidation that I clicked on the tab that brought Wacky Monsters to life. And what made them wacky? Manic eyes, disturbing grins and an array of colour not normally found in the monster kingdom. My fears were allayed; not a Simpsons tie or an evening of karaoke in sight. The game offers the usual slots treats: wilds, free spins and a multiplier. There is however, no bonus in sight and despite the game’s apparent wackiness (although I think the Monster community are the ones who really need convinced on this) there were no animated sequences to keep players engaged. What I do like and what some people might consider socially acceptable wackiness is the house edge. At less than 3% Wacky Monsters has decent value for money to offer us, making the game one worth checking out at the very least.
