Wild Falls Slot Review

Released January 2019

The Wild Falls game can be found at casinos offering Play ‘n Go software. Play ‘n Go are a growing providers in the industry and have a rapidly expanding portfolio of both slots games and clients. They do offer a full casino platform, but primarily seem to be used as a bolt on package for extra slots games. Play ‘n Go do publish the Return to Player (RTP)/House Edge information for their slots games within the game help files. As such we know that the house edge for Wild Falls is 4%.

The Wild Falls game has 5 reels and each reel is 3 symbols high. The game uses traditional paylines, with 20 in total playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

Wild – The “Chest” symbols are Wild, substituting for all symbols. The “Chest” symbols are by far the most important symbols in the game. You can see them sitting at the top of the waterfall and will notice them move down the river and add themselves to the reels. They are only present on reels 2, 3 and 4 and can come with a x2, x3 or a x5 multiplier, which can combine up to x125. 3 “Chest” symbols on the reels at once will trigger the game’s Free Spins feature and at any random point the chest symbols can land on the reels and stick in place for a re-spin.

Bonus Features

Gold Rush – This feature triggers at random and when it does so it can turn “Chest” symbols into multipliers of x2, x3 or x5, up to a maximum of x125 the bet. 3 “Chest” symbols on the reels at once will trigger the Super Rivers of Gold Free Spins feature.

Rivers of Gold – 3 “Chest” symbols on the reels will trigger the Rivers of Gold Free Spins feature. Chests can stick on the reels and will move one space down with each Free Spin. The feature will end when there are no “Chest” symbols left on the reels.

Super Rivers of Gold – The Super Rivers of Gold Free Spins feature is triggered when you land 3 “Chest” symbols on the reels at once during the Gold Rush feature. All “Chest” symbols will remain gold with x2, x3 and x5 multipliers for the duration of the spins. Super Rivers of Gold Free Spins continue until there are no “Chest” symbols left on the reels.

Wild Falls takes you all the way back to 1896 and the beginning of the great American gold rush. You will find yourself spinning reels that are set in the middle of the Yukon River as you scrabble to try and strike gold. The games uses the backdrop of the Yukon river well, with the “Chest” symbols actually floating down it before they are added to the reels. Incredible landscapes sit behind the river making the game look fantastic. The symbols themselves are fairly basic and there are not very many of them but it doesn’t detract from the game’s overall aesthetic. There are a couple of free spins features that help to keep things interesting and the inclusion of wilds but there is no bonus game. The house edge is the standard 4% for Play ‘n Go, which means that Wild Falls is a long way from being an overpriced game but at the same time we couldn’t describe it as offering much in terms of value.
