Win Win Slot Review

Released August 2019

The Win Win slot game can be found at casinos offering Elk Studios software. Elk Studios are a small but quickly growing casino software developer primarily focusing on the mobile market. At the present time they only offer slots games. Players should be aware that this software provider includes ‘betting strategies’ as an automated feature. These should be avoided. They offer no mathematical gain to the player and increase the risk of large losses in comparison to your bankroll. As a standard Elk Studios do publish the RTP/House Edge information for their slots games within their game paytable. As such we can say that the House Edge of Win Win is 3.7%.

Win Win is a slot made up of 3 reels, each one 3 symbols high. The slot uses paylines, with 17 in total, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

Wild – The “Wild Diamond” will substitute for all symbols other than the Win symbol but are only available during the Bonus Round.

Bonus – The Bonus symbols will trigger the Bonus feature if you can land 3 of them anywhere on the reels at once.

Win Symbols – Win Symbols are active on the “Special Payline” and work in combination with standard paying symbols. They can only appear on reels 1 and 3.

Bonus Features

Special Payline – The Payline running through the middle row of the reels is the “Special Payline”. If you can land certain symbol combinations on the “Special Payline” you will receive greater rewards. The combinations are described below:

Two “Win” symbols plus a standard paying symbol on the “Special Payline” will result in a pay out of 10 times the bet.

Two “Win” symbols plus a “Gold 777” symbol will pay out 500 times the bet.

One Win symbol will pay out the value of the other two symbols on the payline (as if you have landed 3 of them), meaning that if you land a “Win” symbol on the “Special Payline” you will always win.

Locked Re-Spins – If you land identical symbols on reels 1 and 3 then they will become locked in place for 3 Re-Spins. When this happens the middle reels will spin again 3 times. The feature can also be triggered during the Bonus round.

Bonus – The Bonus round is a set of Free Spins. There is no assigned number of Free Spins, with the paytable claiming there is a potentially infinite number of them. Of course, this is not the case. The feature comes with a multiplier bar that starts at x2 the bet and reaches x10 the bet. When the Bonus begins you will start with a multiplier randomly chosen from the bar. Every time you win you will increase the multiplier and every time you lose you will decrease it. When you drop below x2 the bet the Bonus feature will end. Locked Re-Spins will contribute to the movement of the multiplier too.

Wilds are only available in the Bonus round and replace the Bonus symbols. Three Wild symbols on a payline pay out as if they are the highest paying symbol.

Conclusion

For such an apparently simple looking slot, Win Win is one complicated little game. You might only get the 3 reels and a paltry 17 paylines but there is a lot going on here to keep you engaged. You get Free Spins, re-spins and exciting symbol combinations. The obvious hero in this story is the “Win” symbol that guarantees a win if you can land it. All that aside, if it wasn’t for those infuriating “Advanced Betting Strategies” we would have nothing but good stuff to say about this one. As it stands, as long as those betting strategies are in place I will not give this game a positive review because the reality is that they offer no advantage over a system of flat betting. The idea that this offers any sort of advantage is simply unfounded and to suggest to the player that they might be able to work an advantage by altering their bet size is, as far as we are concerned, not ethical. As such, a game should have been on the receiving end of a glowing review falls flat. Hopefully Elk choose to remove these strategies in the near future so that we can begin reviewing their games for the entertainment that they offer instead.
