Wizard of Oz Slot Review

The Wizard of Oz slots game can be found at online casinos offering WMS Gaming software who are a wholly owned subsidiary of Scientific Gaming. WMS Gaming do not publish their RTP or House Edge figures as standard. However UKGC licensed operators who now publish all game figures as standard. As such we can say that the House Edge of Wizard of Oz is 4.01%. As this figure has not been confirmed by the software provider we cannot confirm whether this game is configurable or not. As such this figure should be treated as a guideline only when playing at any operator that does not publish their RTP figures.

There’s no place like home…

Wizard of Oz is a 5 reel game with 30 paylines.

The ‘Wizard of Oz Logo’ symbol is Wild.

There are two bonus features when playing Wizard of Oz. The first bonus features is triggered randomly. When this happens Glinda the Good Witch will appear and transform a random number of reels, up to five, into Wild reels.

The second bonus feature is triggered when you receive 3 or more of the ‘Feature’ bonus symbol anywhere on reels 1, 3 and 5. When this happens you will be asked to select one of the Feature symbols to reveal a prize. The prizes are as follows:

– A cash prize.

– Winged Monkey feature – You are awarded 8 complimentary spins. During the complimentary spins if you receive the ‘Winged Monkey Wild’ symbol anywhere on reel 3 winged monkeys will fly across the reels taking random symbols and leaving Wild symbols in their place. An alternative set of reels is used during the complimentary spins. Complimentary spins can be retriggered.

– Road to Emerald City feature – You are shown a selection of Emeralds. Select one to reveal one of the following: a cash prize; a character or Emerald City. Where you reveal a character you will be taken to a secondary feature to select a Gold Charms to reveal a character or return to the Emerald City to pick Emeralds. You keep selecting Emeralds until you reveal the Emerald City. If you’ve found any of the characters before you reveal the Emerald City the gates will open and you will be awarded a cash prize for each character found. If you have not found any of the characters you will be asked to pick one of the Golden Charms. This will reveal either a cash prize, ending the bonus feature, or Glinda the Good Witch who will randomly award you up to four characters and send you to see the wizard.

Conclusion

Wizard of Oz isn’t the best of the games made in the franchise, but is still has a reasonable selection of bonus features and a decent House Edge.
