Wonder Woods Slot Review

Released February 2020

The Wonder Woods slot game can be found at Microgaming casinos. Microgaming as a standard now publish the house edge information of all their slots at any online casino that holds a UKGC license (this is a requirement for all UKGC licensed casinos). As such we can say that the House Edge of Wonder Woods is 3.97%. When playing at any venue that does not hold a UKGC license and does not specifically publish the Return to Player information for their game, this information should be used as a guideline only as we cannot confirm whether or not this game is configurable.

Theme

Wonder Woods has a nature theme to it. It is set in the woods where there appears to be an abundance of fruits for you to feast on. There are no characters or symbols that would allow us to narrow the theme down any further.

African Quest is a 5 reel game that is 3 symbols high. It uses 20 paylines, playing from left to right.

Special Symbols

Wild– The Wild symbol will substitute for all symbols other than Free Spins and Mystery Symbols. It is the most valuable symbol in the game.

Free Spins – You need 3 or more Free Spins symbols anywhere on the reels to trigger the Free Spins feature.

Mystery – The Mystery symbol is the Question Mark. When they land on the reels they will all spin around to reveal the same symbol underneath. The only symbol that is exempt from this is the Free Spins symbol.

Bonus Features

Free Spins – If you land 3, 4 or 5 Free Spins symbols you will be awarded 10, 8 or 12 Free Spins respectively. Any Mystery symbols that land during the feature will stick in place for the remainder of your Free Spins. If you can fill a reel with Mystery symbols they will be transformed into Wild symbols that will remain in place for the remainder if the feature. It is not possible to retrigger the Free Spins.

Conclusion

As much as I like how Wonder Woods looks there isn’t a whole lot else for me to comment on. The colours are bright and the animations are playful, making it a real feast for they eye, but this is still essentially just a basic fruit machine slot. You get Wilds, Mystery symbols and Free Spins but that is your lot. The Free Spins come with sticky Mystery symbols but cannot be retriggered. The house edge is offering decent value for money but all things considered this is a pretty basic and as such, pretty uninspiring slot.
