The Best LeoVegas Slots in August

Posted by Glenn Baird on Aug 31, 2020

LeoVegas are an operator who can be relied on to have the latest and best slot games in their casino lobby. They have suppliers from all the big names, including Net Entertainment, Microgaming and Play ‘n’ Go, to name but a few.

With a massive number of slots hitting the site in August we wanted to take stock of the titles that have most impressed us over the last 4 weeks. To do so we’ve picked 5 of the very best slot releases that LeoVegas threw our way in the month of August and have taken the time to explain why we believe they are worth checking out.

Jolly Roger 2

In a month of, no few than, 3 squeals, it was Jolly Roger 2 that rose to the top of the best number 2s in August. A Play ‘n’ Go release, in a month with plenty of Play ‘n’ Go slots to mention, this one is a clear improvement on the original. You get instant wins, 2 sets of Free Spins, a bonus round and there are modifiers within those features. You get Wilds in the base game and there is even a random multiplier that can appear from time to time. You also get something that is often missing from Play ‘n’ Go slots and that is a highly competitive house edge.

The Doghouse Megaways

A competitive house edge is something that Pragmatic Play are never too far away from and here you have the first of 2 mentions for the software provider on this list. I haven’t classed this one as a sequel, but I guess you argue that it is one, seen as it is an upgrade from the original Doghouse slot. A bit like the original, there isn’t a whole lot going on in terms of features but it does look the part, it does have a competitive house edge and you get those all-important Megaways too. You also get Wilds, 2 Free Spins modes and random Wild multipliers, which is nothing to be sniffed at.

Morgana Megaways

Before we get into this one I just want to clarify that Megaways do not the perfect slot make but what they do offer is something that is genuinely more exciting than a standard set of reels. In this instance iSoftBet have teamed up with Big Time Gaming to give us a King Arthur themed slot that has spared no expense in the looks department. This bright, vibrant slot comes with 117, 649 megaways, which isn’t quite the maximum that BTG has to offer, but still isn’t far off it. You also get Wilds and Mystery symbols and you get Free Spins that come with a progressive modifier. Those Free Spins can be bought if you live in a jurisdiction that allows for it.

Tiny Gods

What’s cuter than a tiny God of the Sun? That’s right, nothing is, as Microgaming give us yet another Egyptian themed slot by replacing the muscly, bronzed adonises that we are used to with tiny cartoon versions. You get Free Spins and a Jackpot and 2 random features that can trigger at any point. You also have a pay to play option and a Foxify button to press, both of which cost but can reward if you happen to get lucky enough. The house edge is also competitive, making this the best release that Microgaming have offered in the month of August.

Peaky Blinders

We finish off with what must be considered one of the most highly anticipated branded slots of 2020. The world of the Peaky Blinders is the perfect environment to base a slot game on. It’s filthy, grimy but also incredibly glamourous, making Peaky Blinders one of the BBC’s biggest hits in years. There are 2 Free Spins features and there are some smaller features too that help to modify the Free Spins too. Whilst there is nothing all that original about the features but they are still enjoyable to play. The colours are arguably a little too grey and dull, making it difficult to distinguish between some symbols, but then again, this is the Peaky Blinders, this is early 20th century Birmingham and bright and breezy was never going to be the order of the day.
