Player's Complaint

Hi The pogg

I am taking great lengths to avoid gambling but from time to time I relapsed this time and to be fair with the casino I contact them and I ask them if I can deposit and they say yes to me. To my surprised they are part of the Ladbrokes I’ve asked them. I ask them before I deposit. I self excluded my self permanently in 2010 and it is very hard to keep track for me as I am trying my best to self exclude I was cleaned for already 10 month but I relapse and I ask them if it was okay before I deposit I tried to explained but the guy told me that everything is fine and just deposit . They did not care I recognise I am addict but if I call them before I deposit and I ask them and they are telling me to deposit instead of stopping me from gambling. The self exclusion with Ladbroked that I ve got is permanent according to their records that means that still valid until now. Could you please help me the pogg ?

Hi janetteperu - welcome back!

Unfortunately it's unlikely we'll be able to to anything to help you in this situation.

In the first instance, your request for a self-exclusion at Ladbrokes pre-dated the UKGC license by a long way. It also pre-dates the takeover of Betdaq by Ladbrokes. So this would be managed under Ladbrokes' Gibraltian license which does not make clear what the requirements of operators are in respect to carrying over self-exclusions from one property to another or how long exclusions should last.

Secondly, this is a group that are non-responsive to complaints posted at this service.

We will try to contact the operator for you but the likelihood of success is very low.

Here's what we can do to help - we are just setting up a free tool to help problem gamblers restrict themselves from accessing online gambling sites. The tool is still in its 'beta' testing version and we only have the Windows version live right now but the others (Mac/Linux/Android/iOS/Windows Mobile) should be available in the next few weeks. If you want to download this tool it should stop you accessing this operator's website (alongside thousands of other gambling sites!!) You can find it at BetBlocker.org.

Thanks,

ThePOGG

Hi janetteperu,

Unfortunately Betdaq have made clear to us that they will not discuss any complaint issues with this service. As such all I can do is recommend that you contact their ADR IBAS.

I'm sorry we could not be of more help,

ThePOGG
