CasinoRijk - changed terms afterwards, forfeit winnings

Ruling

Found for the Player - Casino Rijk, OkScratchCards and MegaScratch certainly appear to have changed the terms after this player played with is completely unethical and totally unacceptable. Alongside this despite repeated attempts to communicate with them they've offered no response what-so-ever to this complaint.

Player's Complaint

At the end of August I played at Casinorijk, OkScratch & MegaScratch casinos.

I deposited 100 , got a 50 bonus at Casino Rijk and Okscratch. At Megascratch I deposited 200 eur and got a 200 eur bonus. The rules allowed 15 eur max bet. I played slots and never bet over 15 euros.

They sent me these emails:

First they stated max bet is 15 €, and once I stated out it I didn't bet over that, they changed their terms to 7 €, and sent a copy of that 2nd picture where it says it is now 7 €.

They confiscated 1389 £ at Okscratchcards, 780 € at MegaScratch and 430 € at CasinoRijk.

The only mistake I was to play at that group and, even though it is not forbidden. I never broke 15 € max bet rule, and at MegaScratch I didnt break the 20% max bet rule either.

I've now attempted to contact this group multiple times with no response. I've tried a final time today. If I don't have a response by Friday this complaint will be marked 'Found for the Player' and the associated properties will be listed as 'Not Recommended'.

Hi petevuan,

Unfortunately I've not heard anything back from this group. As such I'm marking up this complaint as 'Found for the Player' and the reviews for this group - which I've been holding off on publishing - are will now be published as 'Not Recommended' due to non-responsiveness to player complaints and retroactive enforcement of new terms and conditions.

The only thing I could suggest to do now is contact their regulator the Maltese Lottery and Gaming Authority. You can find contact information for them at http://thepogg.com/regulator/lotteries-and-gaming-authority/. If you have any issues submitting a complaint to them I'd be happy to offer assistance.
