Player's Complaint
I have numerous issues with this website.
First of all, upon registration (on the 11/05/2019) I was able to deposit funds before any ID was requested (which as far as I'm aware breaches the new rules from the 7th of May), after this my account was locked as the funds withheld from me.
After a few days I was able to verify my account. I took part in a deal that gave 40 freespins if you deposit £20, but none of the 3 games they were offered on were displayed for me and any links from them just redirected to the casino. I still have not been able to use my free spins.
Seeing these shady happenings I decided to withdraw all my funds but was told I needed to turn over my deposit once before which as far as I'm aware breaches the conditions imposed by the CMA (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5b87cd2a40f0b63c9ca2b51d/Further_information_for_online_gambling_companies.pdf slide 15 and 16).
I am thoroughly annoyed at the way expekt have dealt with this and ignored my complaints.

Hi scriptinglife - welcome back!
Firstly, to my knowledge the UKGC are not presently aggressively pursuing operators regarding the pre-verification requirements. As long as the licensee is making clear steps towards compliance there appears to be some leeway being given. If you want to take this aspect of your complaint further you would need to contact the regulator, but it would seem somewhat redundant as you have stated that you have now completed verification.
Secondly, with regard to the url you included, if you review slide 16 you will see that there is clear exclusion given for "General Regulatory Obligations" including "anti-money laundering". Having to turn over your deposit a single time would fall into this category.
Thanks,
